“Now the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of meeting there. And the Land was subdued before them. But there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes which had not received their inheritance. Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers has given you?” (Joshua 18:1-3, NKJV)

God brought the Nation of Israel into the land that He had promised to their father Abraham, now it was rightfully theirs and ripe for the taking. Taking it would require they stand up and fight for it, but God promised to back them up and give them the victory. Yet seven of the twelve tribes had not stepped up and apprehended their portion, and consequently had not received their inheritance.

What has God already made available for each of us that we have not fought for and taken possession of? We have an enemy who does not want us to even know all that God has for us, much less see us take hold of it.

Joshua sent out men to “survey” the country and report back.  Likewise we need to “survey” the Word of God to know what He has prepared for us and “stake it out” as our own. Find out all that is part of your inheritance as a born again Christian and take it back by faith.

Christ accomplished everything at the cross, it is up to each of us now to take hold and make it a reality in our own lives through prayer, the unfailing word of God, and the appropriate action steps that Holy Spirit leads us in. Commit to following Him one day, one concept, one step at a time, and you will have the victory.

Questions: How can  you find out all that is part of your inheritance as a born again Christian?  How can we make it a reality in our own lives?

whoops posted before finished..sorry about that
On the other side in a second column I’d write What Can I Do About IT To Try To Change The Situation

This would help me to see that some things I could take concrete steps to work out and others might remain Prayer Concerns to wait upon the Lord for help with.

But the best thing I found was that lots of them were simply worries that I had no control over and in recognizing this it freed me.

When I was a new believer my wise older friend, my mentor told me to ‘deal w/one issue at a time and not to worry about the others; to ask God to prioritize all the issues and trust Him to let me know how to number them from most important to the least – and to stop worrying about the unknown because IF there was anything that I’d forgotten about He’d show me when it was the RIGHT time to work on that issue as well.
It was so freeing to me and I share this w/you hoping and praying it will help you to find freedom to take ONE Step at a Time and be free to allow God to show you each step!
    Be blessed dear sister :)

Hi Felicitas, so do you think/know yet if there are any specific steps He is asking of you to help you overcome the despair, fear and loneliness?
I’ve known for awhile that I must find a course that will teach me how to lay out the plan for writing and this second part is tuff because I’ve been an online mentor w/Power to Change for 6 years and I believe He is asking me to lay it down in order to take up the writing…it has been incredibly satisfying to use my gift of writing to encourage other women in times of difficulty and trial… in fact I’ve made a few GREAT friends which was a total bonus!
I believe you should ask God specifically what step to take as your First Step and go from there; what do you think? Or perhaps He’ll outline a plan in detail on what to do and how to do it? He can speak to us in so many ways.
I used to write down lists and found them helpful; something like
All the Issues I’m dealing With [on one side of the paper] What I May Do

When I was praying this am G-d spoke to me heart and told me that he has plans for me and they are good not evil. I have been challenged with tremendous changes in my life and no clue where to go from here. I knew G-d has me waiting but despair, fear and loneliness creeps in alll the time. So when I turn my life and day over to G-d each morning and night I confess this sin. Today’s devotional is a confirmation of G-d’s word to me renewing my faith and trust. Thank you.

Well, how appropriate the timing of this devotional is; just yesterday I was [once again] being encouraged by a professional to put pen to paper; to take that gift of writing and use it. Do you think God may be using this devotional to reinforce in my heart and mind that it IS MY time to step out and take hold and make it a reality in my life??? Fear has held me back. I wonder how many others have been challenged by this devotional today?
