Who Am I, Really?

The Obituary of Richard Cory

There’s a line in a Colin Hay song that says, “I’m waiting for my real life to begin.” Have you ever felt that way? Sometimes we get so good at being who we’re supposed to be, being the person someone else thinks we are, that we lose sight of ourselves altogether. What do you do when it’s time to stop acting?

Take the next step:
Restore your self-esteem
Take a lesson: How do you define yourself?

I have found that in my life as you have discovered that when we seek Christ and study his word then we are able to discover who we are and what the reason he has put us on earth. The secret to living the Christian life is to allow the Holy Spirit to rule in us as then life does not seem so difficult. God Bless

  • P. R. says:

I was told that I was “useless” by my father, and I would “never amount to anything” in life. So, I hated myself! I missed every opportunity, almost, that went by. Except for the most important, that is. That’s the one where I found that my real, “Father”, the One Who sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for my sins and give me an abundant life, here and forever. My earthly father passed, and we made amends before he died. Jesus came to “heal the broken hearted and set the captive free”. Now that I know that I am, unconditionally, accepted, I can go on with my life and recognize that need in others and point them to the one, “Who will make their paths straight” or restore direction into our lives. In Him we live, breathe, and have our being!
