Woody, Your words pretty much sums it up for myself as well. I am at a crossroads of sorts, and although I miss terribly the full impact of my relationship with Jesus, if I can’t connect through reading Scripture, I am a very agitated, edgy person (like someone who has had too much caffeine).

Lord God I pray for Lynn as she grieves the loss of her husband. You are the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort and that is what her broken heart needs now. Lord I pray that Your Holy Spirit would help her to recognize Your presence, Your guidance and Your strength in her life. I pray that You would help others to come around her who can speak Your comfort into her life. Thank You for Your faithfulness so that we never have to be uncertain of Your love or constant care in our lives. Amen.

I am suffering right now because my husband died. To know that God mends a broken heart is definitely good news. I will wait for His time and trust Him until then.
