Finding Happiness That Lasts
Complete this sentence: “If only I had _______________, then I would be happy”. For many, this “If-Then” activity would be a life-long feat; there would be an inexhaustible list of things and achievements to acquire in order to reach lasting bliss. When Jesus spoke with the woman at the well, he didn’t confront her to condemn her; rather, he approached her out of love to quench her insatiable thirst for a true relationship. Like this woman, Patrick craved happiness from temporal things. Listen as he recounts how Jesus filled the emptiness in his heart. Watch his story.
Take the next step:
Who is Jesus to you?
Where does your joy come from?
What can you do with the happiness you have?

If you wish to have joy as God wants to have then John 15: 10 is the key to joy:
John 15:10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Fathers commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!
I agree, that happiness comes from within. What ever is in man that is what he will present to the world no matter how much he tries to surpress it.
