Living With Holiness
Suit up! Learn how to live a life of worship.
“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.” (Romans 12:1, NLT)
The greatest thing a human can do is worship his or her Creator. You have been made for this very purpose. You live, breathe and exist to worship your Father in Heaven. Every waking moment of your life provides an opportunity to express worship to the One who made you. The ultimate act of worship is to give God your heart.
Take a moment and reflect on your life. Does God have control of your heart? Are you living a lifestyle of worship that reflects God’s love? Our heavenly Father is waiting for true worshippers who will worship in spirit and truth every waking moment of their existence. He is waiting for His children to recognize true worship extends beyond church services and permeates every facet of our lives.
The way we treat our children, spouse or colleagues is an act of worship. God is waiting for a generation to arise who recognizes there is no dichotomy between sacred and secular because every action is worship to God. As a child of God following your Father’s plan, every moment of your life is sacred.
This is exciting news because we spend the majority of our time at work and engaged in day-to-day activities which may seem insignificant or have no eternal value. However, realizing every moment is sacred, you can spend every moment of your life worshipping God. Living a lifestyle to worship God in everything you do is the greatest investment you could make.
Father I thank you for being our God and Saviour. The amazing thing about you Father is no matter how far we have wandered, all we need to do us call out Your name and You are right there to rescue us. Father search our hearts and teach us how to devote every moment of our earthly lives to worship You. Amen
