The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand. Genesis 39:2-3 (NKJV)

We were born to succeed! God wants us to prosper in everything we set our hand to do. He tells us that if we will diligently obey His voice and observe all His commandments, that we will be set high above all others, and that His blessings will “come upon” us and even “overtake” us. He will bless every area of our lives, our homes, families, health, livestock, our nation, and more. We will be above and not beneath in everything, we will be the head and not the tail.

In Deut. 28:1-14, God so clearly lays out the kind of life He wants us to have as He lists the blessings. In Deut. 28:15-68 we see the curses that will come when a person or nation chooses to walk out of alignment with God’s way. If something you are experiencing falls under the curse (and we are all experiencing this to some degree), you can be sure, based on the word of God and His promises, that it is God’s desire to deliver you over to the blessings side. In Christ, we are redeemed from the curse (Galatians 3:13) and we do not have to just accept circumstances such as poverty, sickness, and broken families. God will cause all that we do to succeed when we commit to coming more and more into alignment with His ways. He lays before us a choice between life and death, blessing and cursing. He invites us, and even commands us to choose life in everything! (Deut. 30:19)

He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:3 (NKJV)

Prayer Points:

To have a deep understanding that God intends for us to succeed in all that He gives us to do

That as we continue to grow in alignment with God’s word, we see the blessings further poured out on our lives

That we would be aware of the lies of the enemy that may be holding us back and robbing us of the blessings

Prayer – we encourage you to check out our ACTS prayer guide to help you incorporate the scripture into your prayer time, and to provide opportunity to pray together in unity with others as we focus on the word together each week. What does your soul crave? Here is an online Bible study.

“There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight” (Numbers 14:33, NKJV).

How do you see yourself in the face of giants? Do you look at the circumstances and feel like a grasshopper, powerless and insignificant, or do you look to the promises of God and rise up as a victorious conqueror?

David was a young man who was much more impressed with the promises and authority that God had given him than he was with the giant who was opposing him. As the giant assaulted him with taunts and intimidation, David looked him square in the eye and responded:

You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel (1Samual 17:45-46, NKJV).

Clearly David did not see himself as a grasshopper in the eyes of this giant. He rose up and asserted himself in the truth of who God said he was.

God refers to us as kings and priests who have dominion and will reign on the earth. We are mighty in the land and will do great exploits. Our enemies will fear us and flee from us in seven directions, we are more than conquerors and our God always leads us in victory (Gen. 1:28, Deut 28:7, 10, Psalm 112:2, Romans 8:37)! Let’s take on life’s challenges as those who know our God, what He has done for us, and who we are through Christ. Then we can declare as David did “All the earth will know there is a God in Israel!”

“Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds, let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand” (Psalm 149:5-6, NKJV).

Questions: Why do we so often see ourselves as small and inadequate in the face of adversity? How can we develop an attitude like that which David had?

Dear Breakthrough Prayer partners,

As Breakthrough Prayer expands to have greater influence in cities through praying for the domains (Family, Education, Church, Business, Government, Sports and Arts/ Media/ Entertainment), we are asking that God would also expand our team by adding a coordinator for the Educational Domain.

Do you have a heart for the schools, students, and teachers of our nation?

Do you believe it is possible to bring significant change through prayer and the Gospel of Jesus?

Do you have a call to intercede and a gift to help others engage in effective prayer through training and encouragement?

Breakthrough Prayer is asking God for a person like you, one who is ready to obey and respond to the call of God to help build a powerful and effective movement of prayer for the schools of our nation.

This is a role that can be executed from your own home, and the hours can vary in relation to your schedule.

ask, Are you struggling with feelings of sadness, loneliness or despair. Needing someone to listen?

“Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.” Psalm 2:8 (NKJV)

As co-heirs with Christ, this offer to inherit the earth belongs to us too. Notice that the key thing is that we “ask.”

Recently I heard the results of a poll taken in relation to prayer. It indicated, on average, that pastors pray about three minutes a day, and the majority of Christians don’t pray at all. I thought… “Wow! That’s like having a million dollars in your hands and never spending a cent!” Prayer is an incredible access to power and is a gift to bless and impact both our own lives and the world around us, but like other skills, we have to recognize the possibilities and learn how to use it.

God has given us a book full of promises and He takes great joy and delight in making those promises a reality in our lives, when we ask according to His Word. Jesus lives to glorify the Father and He says that if we ask anything in His name, He will do it for us, so that the Father will be glorified (John 14:13). I can imagine Jesus sitting on the edge of His throne just waiting for us to give Him such opportunities.

Prayer is both relational and powerful, and it is an invitation to impact our world, to have the desires of our hearts fulfilled, to experience more than we could ask or think, and to give glory to the Father. One of the most joyful things that I have experienced in life is to give gifts to my children and see them enjoy what they have received. Bless your Father in heaven today, embrace the gift of prayer, learn how to use it, and reap the amazing benefits of personal blessings, intimate relationship with the Father, and power to impact the world around you!

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” John 15:7 (NKJV).

Questions: Are you realizing the power of prayer in your life?

Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the Lord do what is good in His sight. 2 Samuel 10:12 (NKJV)

This past weekend I had the amazing privilege to be on the rooftop of a fifteen story building in the centre of Victoria (B.C) overlooking the entire city. As I began to pray the Lord directed me to speak the words “be exonerated” over the city. As I wasn’t really clear what the word “exonerated” meant, I made a point of looking it up when I got home. Its meaning is to acquit, to free from blame, prove or declare innocent, to relieve from a duty, task or obligation.

Salvation, forgiveness, acquittal, and to be set free from blame is God’s heart for our cities. From the beginning God gave mankind the responsibility to “tend and keep the earth” and He gave us the dominion and the authority to do it. The same principal that created the earth, the spoken word, is the same principle that maintains and sustains the earth. When we pray over our cities, we partner with God for His purposes in the earth, and He will bring it to pass.

Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. The sower sows the word. Mark 4:3,14 NKJV

What kind of ground are you… today?

Every time that we encounter the written word through our daily devotions, and when we receive the Rhema word as we sense the Holy Spirit speaking with us personally, we are encountering “the sower.” The seed that He sows is always good and will be fruitful every time as long as it lands in good soil.

So how is your soil today? Has seed been sent to you, but you were just too occupied to even notice? Did you receive it, get very excited about it, and then just lose sight of it as the pressures of the day crowded it out? Did you have other things that just seemed more important? Or did you recognize it as having high value, receive it, nurture and grow it until it bore fruit in your life?

God’s promise is that He will provide, and every day He is faithful to make the seed available to us. Too often it is us who does not receive the provision that when properly cared for, digested, meditated on, and incorporated into our lives, would blossom into everything we need for every situation.

Todays seed may be the beginning of growing the provision that you will have need of six months from now. Will you grow it or will you let it die?

You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it. Psalm 65:9

Are you tired of living a defeated Christian life? Why not check out this video.
Join us for our Daily Devotional Chat today in our Women’s Chatroom at 10:30 am EDT.

“And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32, NKJV).

Jesus came that we would have abundant life, rich life, filled with joy, peace, and blessings on every side. The Word of God is like seed. You need to plant it into your life, cultivate it, grow it, and rip out the weeds that try to choke it out. When the facts in your life don’t line up with the promised blessing, stand firm in faith according to the Word, and you will see the circumstances come into alignment with God’s truth.

More and more I am convinced that “believing is seeing.” Fix your eyes on what God says to be true about you, and what has been provided for you through the cross. Keep reminding yourself about what the word says, the promises that God has made, and don’t settle for less. The enemy will do his level best to rob you in every way that he can, but you are more than a conqueror. You will have the victory to experience all that God has for you as you stand firm on the promises in faith. Choose to take God at His Word, and you will continue to be released into greater levels of freedom, joy, peace, and rich full life through His truth.

“For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your borders, and fills you with the finest wheat” (Psalm 147:13-14, NJKV).

Suggested prayer topics:
• That we would take God at His Word and believe and receive the abundant life
• That we would stand together and believe with and for one another
• That we as the church would come into a growing fullness of all that we are blessed to be

Questions: How has the truth set you free? Why do so few people experience the abundant life that God has planned for us?

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4” (NKJV).

Have you ever desired to be royalty and rule the world?

“For you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:9-10).

Have you ever wanted to own the world?

“He who overcomes shall inherit all things…” (Revelation 21:7)

“For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth” (Proverbs 37:22).

“The heaven, even the heavens are the Lord’s, but the earth He has given to the children of men” (Psalm 115:16).

Have you ever wished you could be a super hero?

“Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the breach, the Restorer of streets to dwell in” (Isaiah 58:12).

“The people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32).

“the righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1).

Have you ever longed for peace on earth?

“They shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn was anymore” (Isaiah 2:4).

“My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” (Isaiah 32:18).

“In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, with the birds of the air, and with the creeping things of the ground. Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth, to make them lie down safely” (Hosea 2:18).

We are royalty, the children of the King of Kings. We will inherit the earth and rule with Christ. Together with Him, we will establish His Kingdom, and peace on earth!

“Eye has no seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

Questions: Have you ever wished you could be a super hero? What would you do? The fact that you are royalty and a child of the King of Kings, how does that play out in your daily activities?
