A good way to start the day

I came across this prayer the other day.  It was written by the English minister John Stott.  Every morning, he would begin his day with this prayer. What I love about this prayer is the way it helps me to remember just how big God is.  Sometimes when we pray, we get stuck in a [...] Read More >

Be a bulldozer.

Sometimes colleague say to me, “Here’s my list of projects.  How can I possibly get all this done?”  My answer?  Be a bulldozer. Confessions of a Granddad at Christmas

This is my first Christmas as a granddad.  Somehow my little grandson Mason has transformed how I see Christmas. Devotional – Hiding From Conflict

“Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy. Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the plots of evildoers. (Psalm 64:1-2) I’m not the kind of man who likes to hide. If I’m in the middle of a conflict, “duck and cover” is [...] Read More >
