Devotional: Do Open Doors & Opposition Belong Together?

“But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.” (1 Corinthians 16:8-9) In our minds, open doors and opposition do not belong together.  Have you ever heard that phrase, “God is opening a door?”  We often take [...] Read More >

Even Jesus Struggled With The Life

Do you ever feel like giving up?  Taking the easy road?  Putting yourself first for a while?  Jesus did too.  That night so many years ago in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus pleaded with His Father.  “Abba, Father, everything is possible for you.  Take this cup from me.”  You’re in charge of the universe, Father.  [...] Read More >

Imagine the Possibilities

Do you know Paul Henderson?  He is a Canadian hockey legend.  He scored the winning goal against the Soviets in 1972 with thirty-four seconds left on the clock.  He’s also a Christian, and he’s used his influence since then to share Christ with thousands of people. You might be thinking you could never be a [...] Read More >

Increasing my Capacity for Leadership

I thought I had come up with the formula for managing stress. I even taught it at stress management seminars. But it wasn’t until I found true risk-free security that I knew how to battle stress for good. Conquering things beyond my ability has always been a part of who I am. At 8 years [...] Read More >
