Internships

Do you want to enhance your educational development? Would you like to experience full-time ministry? Do you want to develop in your relationship with God? Does engaging with like-minded staff motive you?

This is the chance for you to be involved in full-time ministry, preparing for your future career or determining whether God is calling you to serve in ministry long-term.  Interns are placed on a team of passionate and gifted individuals and have the opportunity to be mentored by a ministry leader.

Power to Change currently offers three types of internships: short-term, one year national (STEP) and one or two year international (STINT).

Short-Term Internship:

Are you looking to supplement your education with real marketplace experience and ministry skills? IConsider an nternships in marketing or finance, or as an interactive assistant with TruthMedia Internet Group, or even a web designer with Global Aid Network.

Our four-month internships happen all around the country, beginning in January, May, and September each year.  Some internships may also qualify towards course credit depending on the school, internship and course of study. Please note that internship positions are filled well in advance of the start date.  It is often best to begin the process a semester before you plan to intern.  Not all internships are paid positions.  Some internships require the participant to raise support.  Please contact HR for details as conditions vary by ministry and position.

One Year National Internship:

Do you want to work within Canada? Are you looking to use your education and heart for evangelism on a university campus? Our one-year national internship program (STEP) might be just what you’re looking for. Spend a year sharing your faith on campus, put your expertise to work with TruthMedia, The JESUS Film Project, Athletes in Action, or get real world experience in the area Marketing, Finance, Information Technology or Human Resources.

One or Two Year International Internship:

Would you like to see lives around the world changed first hand? Do a stint in overseas ministry and see how you can build relationships and movements of evangelism around the world.

This program is a one or two-year opportunity to work on an international university campus or with one of Power to Change’s International ministries. The focus of this program is evangelism and discipleship with opportunities for on-the-job training and personal development.

With Campus for Christ, you will be doing ministry in the context of a team, ministering alongside other Canadians and national students. Your main activities will involve sharing your faith, doing basic follow up, leading a small group, planning retreats and weekly meetings, and training students to lead the ministry.

 

International locations with Campus for Christ include: The Orient, Tanzania, North Africa & Panama.
