Can You Connect to God Without Religion?

Written by Karen Schenk

soulcravingsfindreligionIs there a difference between God and Religion? There is definitely a difference between God and religion.  God is someone I have a relationship with.  My view on God can be altered by many factors in my life.  It can be affected by my relationship with my own father or even by my culture and the people I spend time with.

I see religion is a set of beliefs that have guidelines for behavior associated with them.    There are many religions with many differing beliefs and rules.   I don’t  think God needs religion.  He wants to have a relationship with me.   It is so easy for me to get confused and think that my relationship with him has rules of engagement.    I love knowing that God cares about me and that my relationship with him does not need a lot of order and structure.  I want to participate in religion or church to celebrate his holiness, but it’s not a condition of knowing God.  Do you believe you can you connect to God without religion?

Sorry Jack. You can’t use that verse. It comes from that “man-made” Bible you don’t believe in.

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Tom:

Your main problem is you suffer from over abundance of confidence. Pride goeth before a fall.

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Tom

The Old Testament was written in Hebrew, than Greek. The New Testament was written in a language that most people on planet Earth including your ancestors could not read. Throughout hundreds of years of human history, most people could not be Bible believers. GOD must have despised those illiterate souls. GOD did not care much about woman, Christian or otherwise for only a few special women are mentioned. The Crusades were initiated by kind Christians who killed other monotheists who clearly must not have been as kind as the killers.
Galileo was persecuted by the Church because he must have told lies about reality. Now the Church accepts these lies as the truth about GOD’s creation. A greater truth about the Real GOD can be found in a telescope or a microscope but never in the Bible which is a book of silly myths. Tom, don’t worry GOD does not care a wit about what you say about me or anyone else who thinks of you as wrong headed. By the way I took the time to investigate your quibble. GOOD for you Tom you proved yourself right about something. On this alone you are correct.

  • Tom Tom says:

I’m sorry Jack. I have no answers for things someone simply makes up after being “inspired” by a fictitious god. (Anyone with a computer knows the original scriptures of the Bible weren’t written in Latin.) Both Jamie and I have painstakingly tried to show you the truth, ask you questions (which you do not respond to) and repeatedly asked for even one shred of evidence that absolutely anything you have written is credible, but I realize it hasn’t been forthcoming because there is no evidence. I pray the Lord will be merciful to you as you continue to harden your heart against His truth.

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Tom:

The very best evidence is that a number of different male authors wrote the bible. The Bible was first written in Aramaic and Latin. Curiously, back then most of the people on the planet could not read. So the Bible was created for the very small minority who could read. A very elitist thing to do. Some English Professors will tell you Shakespeare’s works reads better than the Bible.Clearly GOD had nothing to do with the Bible. By the way Tom, GOD inspired me to post this. In short TOM you have been made blind by the Bible you worship. You can only find the true GOD that created this Multi Verse in heaven by rejecting this very human Bible. It is also noteworthy that most of the noteworthy people in the Bible are male. Again proof of male authorship. GOD in fact created woman to be smarter than man. Adam was practice until GOD made the perfect human, Eve. But Tom reason does not resonate with you. In fact you are addicted to the Bible. You get a rush of endorphins when you read it. Just like the ancient worshipper of idols got their rush. The true GOD can be only be found by observing Creation. You find GOD pantheistically in every thing you feel, touch, smell, taste and see. GOD is spirit, we are GOD’s fingers. GOD wants us all to shake hands irrespective of what we believe.

  • Tom Tom says:

Yes Jack, we’re very aware there are genetic mutations—caused by the fall of man which brought disease, decay, and sin into the world.

While the God of the Bible is obvious and knowable to the extent he wishes us to know about him in creation and in Scripture, your god is completely unknowable except to you because you have created him yourself and have no proof that what you have created exists. He will change the next time you change your mind about him (excuse me—“her” in your economy.)

I’m curious—why such a struggle to convince others that homosexuality is somehow God’s creation rather than simply a lifestyle choice by people who are genetically either men or women?

  • Tom Tom says:

    Kenneth—
Thanks for your response. Let me address a few of your comments—

You say you know it’s true because you heard it and saw it directly from God. How do you know it is God you are hearing from? Joseph Smith believed he was hearing from God through the angel Moroni. He subsequently produced the Book of Mormon, a book which has been totally rejected by archeological, scientific, and historical facts and has no basis in truth whatsoever. However, because he “heard and saw it” millions of Mormons today are completely deceived, and they supposedly have hundreds of “prophets” who are still conveying new revelations from God, revelations that contradict themselves. Charles Russell founded the Jehovah’s Witnesses, a group which is governed by the Watchtower Society. The Society professes to “hear” direct revelation from Jehovah—however, among other false teachings, they incorrectly “heard” at least five times that the world was going to end. Notice we are still here. Were they “hearing” from God? Jim Jones supposedly “heard” directly from God. Ultimately, he and his devoted followers committed suicide. Muhammed believed he was hearing from Allah. The Koran and Muhammed’s teachings are filled with contradictions and obviously not from an omniscient God. The problem in each case is that there was no standard by which to measure whether what was being heard was actually coming from God.

That’s where the Bible comes in. The canon (meaning standard or measuring rod) of scripture is God’s revealed word to us of His truth. Second Peter 1:20-21 says, “But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” In the same way you use a pen to write your name, God used men to write what He wanted us to know. The Bible is proven to be accurate historically, archeologically, and scientifically, and it contains no contradictions. It was written by 40 different people from shepherds to kings, over a 1500 year period, in three difference languages, on three different continents, and yet tells one seamless story from beginning to end. Hundreds of perfectly fulfilled prophecies testify to its supernatural origin. Volumes have been written that authenticate the Bible as the inspired word of God. Doesn’t it make sense that God would want his creatures to have accurate, truthful information, not only about Himself but how He wants us to live our lives? Would you build a house without a tape measure—a standard by which to build? That’s what you are doing by ignoring God’s word in scripture and trusting whatever voice you hear. How do you know it isn’t Satan himself speaking to you, the same deceiver of so many false religions and cults? You wrote, “I ‘know’ it is true because I heard it and saw it myself directly from God.” Well suppose I hear something from God that contradicts what you heard? Then what? And how do you know you are hearing correctly?

While I agree that religion is not necessary (and often times a barrier) to finding God, ignoring God’s standard as revealed in the Holy Bible is a sure way to wreck your train.

By the way—I would suggest that you do not “respect my beliefs,” when I’m one of those you suggest has bought into a “2000 year old con” and am “brainwashed” and “messed up.” LOL

  • Kenneth Bryan says:

Why yes you may :) I do not ‘believe’ it is true, I ‘know’ it is true because I heard it and saw it myself directly from God. I am not preaching from a book which I ‘believe’ because someone told me to believe. You put all your faith in a book written by mortal men and believe it to be the absolute truth while I just talk and listen to god directly and know the absolute truth. May I ask, do you talk directly with Jesus or god?

If not, I guess you will never ‘know’
If so, can you ask a question? How are you Jesus/God going to save/help/comfort your disciples when the actual real true god exposes the truth? Oh brother you better show up in person or it’s gonna get ugly. Ouch a 2000 year old con, the most mind blowing con in the history of humankind is gonna leave a lot of brainwashed people messed up.

I love Christians and know many beautiful people who are deeply Christian. I have a couple close deeply Christian friends who have shown me and made me feel some really amazing love. I do not want to shatter your faith or belief system. Maybe the problem is people are following a belief system and killing over whose is right.

I’d pray for you but seriously god doesn’t micro manage or need to change or adjust anything. God planned it out and executed it perfectly.

So the original question was Can you find God without religion? And I just gave the answer. The ONLY way to find god is without religion. It’s just my understanding and I respect your beliefs.

    Peace and love

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Tom:

The GOD of your bible is rational. The GOD that in fact was responsible for creation is playful. By example GOD created insects and birds that are half male and half female. There is a lesson in this. Gender is not an absolute right. So whatever gender you are be grateful that GOD was not playful with you.
    http://news.sciencemag.org/biology/2014/12/half-male-half-female-bird-has-rough-life

  • Tom Tom says:

May I ask why you believe this to be true when Jesus himself said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15). And in Acts 1:8 Jesus said, “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Or why Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20).

I pray that you will “dig deep” into the Word of God to find the truth of God and his gift to all mankind, his Son Jesus Christ.

  • Kenneth Bryan says:

The answer is actually: the ONLY true, pure way to find god is without religion. Evangelizing, preaching and trying to make someone believe in God goes directly against the path to finding God. That’s pretty much all I’m supposed to say. Good luck, dig deep and don’t be afraid.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

So then your answer is ‘Yes’ to my question? You would feel justice was served if the one who hurt your loved one felt guilty for their actions? How guilty would they need to feel for you to be satisfied?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

Your sense of justice, reduces your capacity to empathize. Justice and empathy are incompatible. The best punishment is a sense of guilt. There is no possibility for personal reformation from insensitive or even cruel actions without developing a sharp sense of guilt. In prisons many inmates today, are trained to meditate. Through meditation they discover empathy and through empathy they embrace their guilt. To punish anyone out of a sense of justice runs the risk of eliminating any hope of them experiencing a sense of guilt. To experience a sense of guilt the perpetrator has to learn to be empathic.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

Somehow that does not seem just. Humanity has a keen sense of justice that recognizes when an action is oppressive or hurtful to another consequences are required. The idea that guilt is punishment enough for an action does not connect with that sense of justice. If someone you loved were to be taken advantage of and hurt would you be satisfied if the offender felt guilty?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

If you currently empathic than you are able to see your past actions more clearly. GOD will not punish you for past lack of empathy. Your sense of guilt about the past is punishment enough. This an emotional skill that gets better with practice.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

And what about our past non-empathic actions? Are there consequences for those?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

Empathy is better than love. Empathy if developed properly allows the individual to feel another’s emotions. It is in fact a true form of extra sensory perception. We all have the capacity to become empathic. It is better to treat people according to how they feel then to love them. I am heterosexual but I fully empathize with homosexuals who still remain outcasts from society. The Bible does not encourage me to do this. Jesus demonstrates empathy in his capacity to grasp fully another persons character. We must empathize with the man who was crucified. The Bible does not instruct us to learn to do this. The Bible judges but rarely empathizes. That is why GOD had nothing to do with the Bible.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

So as we learn to act with empathy towards others we leave sin behind. That is an interesting word choice–Empathy. Is that different than Love? Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God and to love your neighbour. Do you see that as different from acting with empathy?

What about the times that we have not acted with empathy in the past? Are there consequences for those actions?

Doesn’t the body release endorphins in other circumstances other than acting with empathy? Is there a connection to a reward from God in those situations as well?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

We may have created in HER image, but we are of a different character. We live in a physical domain, GOD exists throughout time and space. SIN happens when we have no empathy. Empathy can be taught but it is not. In the modern world there is increasingly less empathy. In the hunter gatherer society there was more. To become a more empathic society we have to volunteer to help those less fortunate than ourselves. GOD rewards our good works by the release of endorphins, If you view the endorphins that are released as more important than your good deeds, than you will become an addict. Heroin is molecularly similar to endorphins. Addicts live only for their themselves because they are no longer addicted to their fellow man. We who are not addicted must reach out to all addicts to make them understand how much they are loved by GOD. With this knowledge of total unconditional love, they will SIN no more. Psychopathic children who are loved unconditionally do not become serial killers. They become heads of corporations because they are best at making cold blooded decisions. A less grievous SIN than murder,

  • Jamie Jamie says:

The Bible is full of records of people who did not reflect the character of God in their moral choices. Abraham was prone to lying in order to save his own skin. His son and grandson had that same character flaw. Moses was prone to anger and acting out violently. David was an emotional man who committed a horrible crime in the name of passion. King after king in Israel and Judah fell because of their pride. John the Apostle and his brother James were nicknamed by Jesus “Sons of Thunder” because of their anger issues. Peter was a big-mouthed coward. The list goes on of people in the Bible whose lives did not measure up with the standard God had given and all pronounced guilty, destined for Hell. All of them had the same issue of a human nature that was opposed to God and because of that were guilty. But all of them were transformed through a relationship with God and because of their trust in God’s grace, were freed from the penalty for their sin and led by God to live differently then what was their natural character. Abraham came to the place where he trusted God implicitly even in the face of great personal cost and did not try to use deception to get out of it. Moses lived with the consequences of his actions but was called the friend of God and had such a close relationship with God that his face would glow after spending time with Him. David was called “a man after God’s own heart” and never hid from his weaknesses. John, one of the ‘Sons of Thunder’, wrote a letter that is the quintessential call to “love one another”. Peter was the “Rock” of whom tradition tells us felt unworthy to die the same death as his Lord Jesus and so was crucified upside down for his unswerving commitment to telling others about his relationship with Jesus.

All of that to say, we are all born with character traits that separate us from God. We are all guilty of rebellion against Him and we all need His intervention to transform us. There is no one who is any more or less guilty than anyone else. There is no one who is any more or less able to transform their own heart. There is no one who is any more or less dependent on God to make us new. And that is exactly what happens when you trust in Jesus and follow Him. As Paul wrote, “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!” (Romans 7:24-25)

So Jack, how does your worldview acknowledge that humans sin? What is the consequence of that? What is the remedy for that?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

Where society is more accepting of homosexual practices the percentages increase. Even in modern times because of religion, homosexual are reluctant to admit to being so orientated.
GOD created these percentages, Did he create them so he could test them against the prohibition contained in the Bible? The GOD that I believe in is not so cruel. GOD does not play games with creation. Christianity speaks about this game playing GOD who is constantly testing our mettle. That’s your GOD Jamie not mine.
Below is a survey of humans in Brazil who admit to being homosexual. Brazil is a society that is more relaxed about this issue.

In 2009, in a survey conducted by University of São Paulo in 10 capitals of Brazil, of the men 7.8% were gay and 2.6% were bisexual, for a total of 10.4%, and of the women 4.9% were lesbian and 1.4% were bisexual, for a total of 6.3%.[26]
Of the men of the city of Rio de Janeiro, 14.3% were gay or bisexual. Of the women of the city of Manaus, 10.2% were lesbian and bisexual.[26]
    Rank City Percentage
    of city
    population LGB Population
    rank
    1 Rio de Janeiro 14.30% 1
    2 Fortaleza 9.35% 2
    3 Manaus 8.35% 3
    4 São Paulo 8.20% 4
    5 Salvador 8.05% 5
    6 Brasília 7.95% 6
    7 Belo Horizonte 6.85% 7
    8 Curitiba 6.55% 8
    9 Porto Alegre 5.95% 9
    10 Cuiabá 5.65% 10

  • Jamie Jamie says:

Jack I am not sure why you insist on making this conversation about homosexuality. But if you are going to do that at least be accurate in your numbers. I have looked for anything that suggests that 10% of all humans are homosexual but I can’t find it. What is did find is that in the United States the 2013 NHIS data states that “96.6% of adults identified as straight, 1.6% identified as gay or lesbian, and 0.7% identified as bisexual. The remaining 1.1% of adults identified as “something else[]” [0.2%,] stated “I don’t know the answer[]” [0.4%] or refused to provide an answer [0.6%].” (I got this from a Washington Post article at http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2014/07/15/what-percentage-of-the-u-s-population-is-gay-lesbian-or-bisexual/) It does not help your position to use inaccurate numbers.

The good news is, no matter what sins any of us struggle with in our lives, we do not have to be defined or held captive by them. The Bible says, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2Corinthians 5:17) That new life doesn’t come by being beat down by a moral code but it does come through Jesus transforming our heart. He takes that sinful nature that we inherited from our ancestors and in exchange gives us His perfect nature. He leads our choices so that we no longer live like a slave to our self-centredness. That is the difference between religion and relationship. That is something worth investigating further, don’t you think?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:
This where you used the word:
“But for love to be true there must be the option not to love, and unfortunately, that is what our ancestors chose”
!0% of all humans are homosexual. You would say they would sin if they chose to carry out a homosexual act. If that is the way you think, your thinking is very 1st century. That is your choice,

  • Jamie Jamie says:

So I as I read through your article about possible multiverse theories here are some things I see that don’t fit: “Scientists can’t be sure what the shape of space-time is, but most likely, it’s flat (as opposed to spherical or even donut-shape) and stretches out infinitely. But if space-time goes on forever, then it must start repeating at some point, because there are a finite number of ways particles can be arranged in space and time.” There is a lot of hypothesis in that statement: 1) shape of time-space; 2) stretches out infinitely; 3) “if space-time goes on forever, then it MUST start repeating” the ‘if’ and the ‘must’ are code word for ‘we’re just guessing’. And that is just the first paragraph of the first ‘most plausible’ multiverse theory.

All five of the solutions don’t deal with the biggest flaw in their theories: they all need the laws of physics to be suspended in order to make them possible. It seems to me that some people are working pretty hard at coming up with solutions that exclude God.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

I am reading over my comment and don’t see anything about choice of sexual behavior.

I do see some questions that you didn’t seem to respond to but I am getting used to that :)

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

A sexual drive for most of us is not a choice. GOD decided how strong that drive would be. Sexual orientation lasts a life time. That was GOD’s choice. Don’t impose your sense of free choice unto GOD. The men who created the BIBLE viewed homosexual practices as an evil and not an inevitable choice. Jamie I regret to say that your concept of choice is strictly first century thinking.

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:
Here is the site that describes how a multi verse is more likely than not.

    http://www.space.com/18811-multiple-universes-5-theories.html

Only a caring GOD would create a timeless existence. The Pope understands that GOD’s love for us is unconditional notwithstanding the cruel GOD depicted in the BIBLE. The Pope has stated that even atheists will be welcome to heaven.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

That is a very unique description of the multiverse Jack but it defies the laws of physics. No matter what you see on Youtube videos, there is no such thing as perpetual motion. In each sequence of expansion and contraction there would be a loss of energy, which makes it impossible for that process to have existed infinitely. Even in your description of an expanding and contracting multiverse there is still a need for a beginning, someone outside of the natural realm to Create. There is absolutely no evidence that what you are describing exists.

To your second point, you have yet to give any evidence that shows 10% of birds and mammals are homosexual. Are you suggesting that those animals exclusively engage in sexual intercourse with partners of their own gender? What evidence do have that gives you the certainty of a number like 10%?

But if your question is “How can humans be created with a sinful nature and still be held responsible for their rebellion against God?” let me respond to that. I know that I never needed anyone to teach me how to tell a lie. That was something I was born knowing how to do. How can God hold me responsible for that when I was born with that nature? What the Bible tells us is that God created humanity to be perfect. He placed on humanity His own likeness so that we could relate to Him in a way that no other creature could, not even the angels. But for love to be true there must be the option not to love, and unfortunately, that is what our ancestors chose So while Adam was said to be made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), all of his offspring were said to be the image of their father Adam (Genesis 5:3). We received his sinful nature and continue to live out his rebellion against God. The proof of that is seen in the world around us. No one in history–other than Jesus–lives the perfect life that God made us for. Can you point to any perfect person?

With our sin being against God Himself, our only hope of salvation is if God Himself acts on our behalf. And that is exactly what He did when He came as a baby, lived amongst us perfectly, died to pay the penalty for our sin and then rose to life to lead us into a life that honours Him.

Doesn’t that make sense of the world around us? Doesn’t that fit for what we see in human nature?

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

All matter in our universe is expanding at an ever increasing rate. As we approach the other universe, the tug of its gravity on ours accelerates our rate of expansion ever more. The expansion will ultimately result in all matter being pulled apart into sub atomic particles and then finally energy that it came from. When the impact occurs both universes will contract faster than the speed of light. When all energy has been compressed, it will explode over billions of years into sub atomic particles than molecules and finally matter. The weight of hydrogen has to be absolutely perfect or the eternal universe will end. This perfect weight of hydrogen objectively is one scientific proof of GOD.
Jamie, why would GOD make 10% if all birds and mammals homosexual, Humans happen to be mammals. According to you, the GOD that created homosexual humans created them to send their souls to hell for evil sexual practices. Your GOD is a schizophrenic.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

Thanks for joining in the conversation chacha. You are welcome to come back any time.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

Well, Jack, I don’t know what the Pope has to say on the subject but here is what the Bible says. This is from the prophet Isaiah so you can know this was written before Constantine and your claim that Hell is a Roman creation. In the last verse of Isaiah God describes the end of this world and says, “they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” (Isaiah 66:24) It seems pretty clear that continued rebellion against God will end in an eternal destruction.

You speak of the theory of a multiverse as a reality. What evidence is there that such a multiverse exists? How does that help deal with the impossibility of any infinite existence in the nature? The multiverse has never been observed or proven. It only exists as a theory because of the proven reality that our universe must have had a Creator. Those who cannot accept that have hypothesized this multiverse which still fails the test of the 2nd law of thermodynamics in which all energy is moving toward equilibrium state. In an infinite universe or multiverse that state of equilibrium would have infinitely achieved. Because we live in a universe that has not yet achieved that equilibrium we can know that our universe has a beginning by a Creator who is outside of the natural realm.

  • chacha says:

Great! Have a nice day jamie ..Canadian jack keep slowly opening their eyes I like your views too

  • Jamie Jamie says:

Thanks for your input chacha. It is always good to compare different world views to see which connects to the reality in which we live.

As I look at our world there are natural laws that we can know. They do not change and morph for different people. We all know that things like gravity, light, sound, etc work in predictable patterns. This is true because the God who established them is also a God of order and consistency. He wants to be known and can be known because He is consistent in His nature and actions. That is not to say that we can know everything about Him. He is far too great for us to be able to understand completely. But our ability to comprehend everything about Him is not because He contradicts Himself with different world views. Just like gravity cannot be both the force that attracts two bodies and a force that repels two bodies, so God cannot be two contradictory things at the same time.

  • Canadian Jack says:

    Jamie:

“We are all destined to Hell”. The Pope does not agree with you. Most Theologians do not agree with you. You are a literalist and you belong to another time before we knew the Multi Verse was eternal. No need for post corporeal existence. Buddhism got it right. Everything is meant to be reborn in a physical form. Our souls are transmigrated into other life beings whom we chose to inhabit. If you are man in one life time, you might choose to be a woman in another. In this way we develop empathy
for each other and for all of creation. For we inhabit all of creation through the eternity we live through. There is absolutely no need for a heaven or hell. These are tales to frighten children. For GOD those who live in the multiverse are entertainment. For entertaining GOD we are given a wonderful education in life. In truth we are made in the image of GOD. We go the movies, read fiction or go on the net to be entertained. We are theatre for GOD and theatre for each other. Enjoy the show and avoid judging others.

  • chacha says:

Praise God and Jesus no pun intended.

  • chacha says:

    Youre right. Haha Good day..

  • Tom Tom says:

Why no more question Chacha? Are you seeing that you can’t have it both ways? Either there is absolute truth (truth that never changes) or there is no truth at all. If everyone just believes whatever they want to believe, following any and every truth of their own choosing and making, then they will ultimately find at death that they were wrong. God IS truth. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.” Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or was telling the truth. Duality will only result in contradictions, and things that contradict each other cannot all be truths.

  • chacha says:

You want some “ultimate.. absolute” truth.. truth is everyone that knows everything knows nothing. Even me. Keep tht in mind over the next few years when things start to change. Plz keep your question..look inside not out. Everyone have a blessed day:)

  • chacha says:

In time.. Everyone will understand. No such thing as contridictary its called Duality. Good day. Plz no more questions.

  • Tom Tom says:

You’ve said, “. . .everyone is right. The truth has many shades.”
You’ve used the term, “ultimate truth.” Do you define ultimate truth as absolute truth? If so, how can truth have “many shades” and how can “everyone have different eyes to see it”? These are contradictory. Do you even believe in absolute truth?

The temptation is always there to make one’s faith more popular by ‘modernizing’ it, but the Apostle Paul had warned against exactly this kind of thing: ‘Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit’ (Col.2:8).

Jamie.. I do not wish to debate. Every question you raise ive answered already before you even think to type. Ill say it again. Everyone is right. Truth has many shades. No need to pick at my answers or pick my brain. Every question you give anyone are questions you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself.

  • chacha says:

It isnt my worldview its universal truth. I cant give you my evidence because the answers are within you jamie. Everyone has their perspective on this world view because everyone has different eyes to see it through.. just like religion. But the ultimate truth resonates with everyone. Its the foundation no matter how you choose to branch off. Even you jamie have your own branch. I dont want to sound like I dont have proof because I do. My proof is longer than the great wall of china but everyone has their own search to do. Within.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

So what you are saying is that both Hinduism and Christianity have a wrong idea of who/what God is and that your ultimate worldview is the correct one?

  • chacha says:

And In no way puts down anyones beliefs believer or not. It brings people together. Sounds like a dream right?? Lol

  • chacha says:

What I am into is the ultimate world view. No separation.

  • chacha says:

Honestly jamie, thats a question you have to search for within yourself. You have to want to know the answer because it iisnt for the lighthearted. The things God has drawn me to… will shake the very core of anyones beliefs. Trust me it happened to me …I was a Christian. Now I have no title. I just Am.

  • Jamie Jamie says:

That is an interesting perspective chacha. On what do you base that assertion? How can it be that different world views have contradictory claims? For example, Hinduism says that there are a myriad of Gods that one worships, but the Bible clearly states that there is only one God and that you are to worship Him alone. How can both of those be true at the same time?

  • chacha says:

Every religion has its signifigance with or without it you can. Connect to God. Take away the need for separation and youll find that everyone and everything has truth even religious texts if you dig deep enough

  • Jamie Jamie says:

Actually Jack, you have the order on your statements off, and it makes a significant difference. What God has shown us in the Bible is that we are all destined for Hell. His message is “Your only hope is to trust in Jesus’ death to pay your penalty.” So it is not a threat but it is a life-line to freedom.

I know you don’t like to answer my questions but perhaps you can respond to this one :) Do you think that God accepts all people no matter what they have done?

  • chacha says:

Everyone can continue to debate about who is and isnt right. After reading through these posts the Truth is.. everyone is right. The truth has many shades. Thats the secret. Plz open your mind people.

  • chacha says:

To know and love God is to know and love yourself. The temple of God iswithin you. The more you care for yourself the closer to God you become. God lives within everyone. Accepting Him is accepting yourself. We are all Gods.
