Children’s Holiday Fashions

Written by Tilly Komarnicki

Let your little ones sparkle this holiday season in rich colors and textures.

It’s that time of year again…. it’s Christmas! When it comes to holiday fashions, many parents share similar concerns.

What do we dress our children in for Christmas? Will they wear it? Will they ever put it on again? Everything is so expensive!

Here are a few tips that will help you.

  • Look for comfort: Some garments have nylon or metalic stitching that can be very irritating and uncomfortable.
  • Look for fabrics that are washable and easy to care for.
  • Cotton is a favorite fabric; however, almost everything in holiday wear is polyester. Cotton fabrics breathe and generally are more comfortable.
  • Protecting the earth: Can you be an atheist and an environmentalist?
This generation: Finding hope in the face of AIDS

  • Watch for sales. If possible, try to buy a size larger to hopefully wear for an additional year. Also consider checking out consignment stores.
  • Look for elastic waists which are easy to take in or let out if necessary. Much more comfortable than belts!
