Florida is a peninsula on the south eastern coast of the United States. Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, Florida has an area of 58,664 square miles (151,939 square kilometres) and an estimated population of nearly 15,000,000. Well-known for producing citrus fruits (notably oranges and grapefruit) Florida also produces vegetables, sugarcane and livestock.

The Florida Keys are a 225 mile (362 km) chain of small islands and reefs, composed mainly of coral and limestone, curving off of the coast of South Florida from Virginia Key to the Gulf of Mexico. Florida is a popular tourist destination for it’s natural beauty, beaches and numerous attractions.

Longboat Key
Longboat Key is located on the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Sarasota. It is seven miles from the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport, sixty miles south of Tampa International Airport and is conveniently served by Interstate highway 75 and US Highway 41.

There are resorts that offer Kid’s programs, which feature arts and crafts, outdoor games, water sports, skating, “Fun in the Park” treasure hunts, miniature golf, beach walks, sand castle building and golf and tennis clinics.

You may enjoy the area with your entire family, or go for a romantic get-away with your spouse. For Florida residents, it’s close enough to go for as little as two nights!

Naples
Naples is only thirty-five miles south of the International Airport in Ft. Meyers and five miles from the regional airport in Naples. Ground travel offers easy access via Interstate highway 75 and US Highway 41.

Here you may enjoy sunbathing, swimming and paddle boating. Backwater and deep-sea fishing are available at nearby marinas. You will also find different properties with special programs for children.

Located only a short ride away, charming Olde Naples features fashionable boutiques, shops and galleries. Ride the “Naples Trolley” into town for an afternoon shopping getaway.

Amelia Island
Amelia Island is located conveniently just thirty minutes north of Jacksonville via Interstate highway 95, and only fifty minutes south of the beautiful Golden Isles of Southeast Georgia.

Enjoy tennis, golf, swimming, nature trails for walking, biking and jogging, shopping, dining and more! Supervised recreational programs assure that children and teens are never bored.

Sanibel Island
As you leave the International Airport at Ft. Meyers, or take Exit 21 on Interstate highway 75, take Daniel’s Road West. Cross US Highway 41 and continue to Summerlin Road (Rt. 869) where you’ll make a left and continue to the Sanibel Causeway. This will put you right on the island.

You will find a variety of properties to choose from. Again, this is a nice place with pristine beaches to go with your family or for couples.

St. Augustine
St. Augustine is located off of A1A. Enjoy visiting the Nation’s oldest city, with it’s Spanish fort and schoolhouse.

Enjoy the beach, take a trolley ride or a horse carriage tour. Enjoy sightseeing, shopping and dining. Stay at a resort or a quaint old Bed & Breakfast Inn.
