Home Buying & Selling: 4 Critical Steps to Stress Free Home Buying
Written by June Driediger
Are you thinking of buying a home soon? Here are four critical steps to a stress free home purchase.
- Evaluate your present situation. For example, how much cash do you have on hand for your down payment and those extra costs involved with a property purchase.
- Talk to a mortgage lender and get yourself pre-qualified. This allows the lender to determine the maximum mortgage for which you qualify and gives you the advance knowledge needed to purchase the home of your choice.
- List features you would like included in your new home. Write down desirable locations, price range, number of bedrooms and baths, and any other amenities.
- Provide me with the information that you have gathered. I will enter the information into my computer. The computer will provide a list of available properties that match your criteria. Together we can look at these properties and decide which is the best home for you.
By following a logical, step-by-step purchase agenda, you can enjoy a stress free home purchase and get off to the right start!
No cost/low cost ways to prepare your home for sale:
- Keep walkway to the front door immaculate.
- Keep lawn mowed, edged & trimmed.
- Remove dead flowers & weeds.
- Repaint house trim if worn.
- Scrub vinyl siding if dirty.
- Wash windows inside & outside.
- Clean kitchen & bathroom till they sparkle.
- Clear clutter from all rooms & stairways.
Selling your home involves more than simply putting up a For Sale sign. To help it sell quickly, you have to maximize its appeal to buyers. While that may take a little work, it doesn’t have to cost a lot. I would be happy to provide you with a complete list. Give me a call!
