Experience Pure Love and Forgiveness

experienceWe can spend most of our lives on trivial issues. But Jesus Christ reminds us what really matters and what we really need. Our greatest felt needs are to be loved, forgiven, whole and alive. Do you feel compelled to somehow respond to Jesus’ death on the cross?  Do you feel compelled to enter deeper into the experience of Christ’s forgiveness?

That feeling is no accident. It is a divine appointment.

Love. It’s what we all want. To be loved is the most amazing thing that can happen to you.   But sometimes everything goes wrong — love hurts us and we’re left holding bruised hearts in our hands.  Where do we go from here?

Wanting to be loved is part of what it means to be human.  We’re all looking for love, but not just any love – unconditional love, pure love. Do you wonder if anyone can love you as you truly are? Why is pure love so hard to find? Maybe it’s because we keep looking in all the wrong places.

  • Maybe you have looked for love in your family. You have tried your whole life to please them and make them happy. But it was never enough.
  • Maybe you have looked for love in a physical relationship. You tell yourself, “If I share my body, I will feel loved.” But you never do.
  • Maybe you have looked for love in popularity. “If everyone knows me, then I will feel loved and accepted.” But that’s a game you can’t always win, and when you do, you are still lonely.

Where can you go to feel completely accepted? Where can you look to find unconditional love?

There is only one place where love never disappoints. The picture of pure love is found in God. God is love. But how can you know God loves you? How can you see it?

Through Jesus Christ, we see love at its purest. Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). The picture of pure, passionate love is caught in the frame of Jesus loving you while hanging on the cross.

God made His love visible in Christ. And Jesus showed that love is measured not merely by feelings, but by sacrifice.

How can you know pure love? Imagine asking Jesus, “How much do you love me?” He would stretch out His arms, with His nail-pierced hands, and say, “This much.”

You can experience His pure love.

Experience complete forgiveness

Guilt. Do you live with guilt? Have you done something you feel ashamed of? Do you have a secret that is eating at your soul?  Guilt is a horrible thing to live with. How do you stop living with guilt? Why is guilt so hard to get rid of?

  • Maybe you have tried burying your guilt in denial. You can’t live with it, so you deny it. But it keeps coming back - it won’t go away.
  • Maybe you have tried covering your guilt under a pile of good deeds. You can’t live with it, so you try to make up for it. But it is never enough.

You can’t deny it or make up for it. So how do you get free from your guilt? Can anyone help?

It just may be that you feel guilt because you are guilty. But you can get rid of your guilt by experiencing the complete forgiveness of your guiltiness. God wants to forgive you. No one is too bad that God can’t forgive them. And no one is too good that they don’t need forgiveness.

Jesus gives complete forgiveness. Even while He was being beaten and crucified, Jesus said, ” Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). Did you ever wonder why Jesus had to be beaten so badly? Why did He have to suffer so much?

Your sin and guiltiness had to be punished and paid for. That’s how serious God is about your guilt. Jesus was brutally beaten and killed because that is what it took for us to be forgiven of our sins. It was an enormous cost that He was willing to pay for you.

Ask to be forgiven. Forgiveness is a gift that Jesus freely extends to you – but you must accept it for it to be yours.

You can experience complete forgiveness.

Broken. Have you experienced a broken promise, a broken dream, a broken relationship, or a broken heart? Does your life seem broken? Do you feel like Humpty – Dumpty? Why can’t you put the pieces of your life back together again?

  • Maybe you have learned not to trust anyone. You have been let down or betrayed by broken promises, so you’re skeptical of everyone. But now you are doing life injured and alone.
  • Maybe you have stopped dreaming. You think, “I can’t believe this is my life.” The excitement you had for the future is gone.
  • Maybe you have promised yourself to never let anyone get close enough to hurt you. You keep people far away from your heart so you won’t feel pain. But now you have also lost love.

How can you be put back together? Where can you turn to experience ultimate wholeness?

Jesus came to do more than forgive you of your sin. He also came to make you whole. Jesus’ forgiveness shows that He loves you as you are. Jesus’ healing shows He loves you too much to leave you as you are. He wants to make you whole.

You might know people who are completely devoted to Jesus. They love Jesus not just because He forgave them. They love and follow Jesus because He took the broken pieces of their lives and gave them the peace of His life. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.   Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)

Jesus came to be the forgiver of your soul and the leader of your life. He can put your life back together. He can help you trust, dream, and love again without fear. He will take your hole-hearted life and turn it into wholehearted passion.

You can experience ultimate wholeness.

Experience everlasing life

Goodbye. The word can get stuck in your throat. Have you had to say goodbye to someone you love? Have you buried someone who was near to your heart? Was someone missing at Christmas? Goodbye. There is nothing good about it. When people die, how do you cope with the final goodbyes?

  • Maybe you cope by crossing your fingers and hoping. But do you really have any confidence that you will see them and know them in the next life?
  • Maybe you cope by believing in reincarnation. But what hope does it bring, knowing reincarnation may not bring reunion, and they will only die again?
  • Maybe you cope by giving up hope. You believe that this life is the end, and eventually you will have to say goodbye forever to everyone you love.

Could there be a better way? Is there a more reliable cross than crossed fingers? Is there a resurrected life instead of just a reincarnated one?

Is there reason to hope and not just cope?

The life Jesus doesn’t end with him in the grave. Instead He is resurrected – glorious and flawless – never to die again. Jesus can do that for us too.

Years after Jesus was raised from the dead, His friend John saw Him. John wrote : “When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. Then He placed His right hand on me and said; ‘Do not be afraid. I am the First and Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades’ “ (Revelation 1:17-18).

Confident hope for eternal life is only found in the One who died and came back from the dead-Jesus. Now He holds the keys of death and can raise you-and those you love-from the dead too! Because of Jesus, our “goodbyes” can be changed to “See you again!”

You can experience everlasting life.

Jesus is knocking at your heart’s door. He is extending an invitation to you to open your heart and let Him come in. You can open your heart and experience Pure Love, Complete Forgiveness, Absolute Wholeness, and Everlasting Life.

Pray. “God, thank you for what You have done for me. I believe You sent Jesus to die for my sins instead of me. I believe Jesus rose again to give me everlasting life. Please forgive me for the wrong things I have done. Please give me a new and clean heart. I invite you into my life. Teach me to do everything You want me to do and to follow You all the days of my life. I pray this believing in what Jesus did for me. Amen.”

  • John says:

Hell & Heaven, Before & After
I wish I could with authority and proof intelligently discuss Heaven & Hell, but I can’t, nor do I remember before this life, but, like all others, I have my own ideas based on my own experiences and visions, and with that I’ll do my best to describe what I believe Heaven & Hell is like. Though I’m no longer a Mormon after 35 years, I believe, like myself, many devout members who were starving for divine information from God, received from the source the desired information they so desperately sought after, and that information added to the base. Of course all people in all religions, and all people who seek after the things of God, receive from him in varying degrees and amounts, divine information. It’s from this base I make my foundation. I’ve given a great deal of thought to the before and after, and I’ve talked about it somewhat, but without details.
    Hell:
I’ll start with the worst first, maybe because the last will be first and the first will be last. The new thought is, maybe there is no Hell. I don’t believe that concept, but neither do I believe Hell is a place for eternal punishment. Hell doesn’t yet exist, not until God is done with judging every person who will be born, which may be a while. Heaven and Hell will be created about the same time, opening doors for all the people who need a place to go to. God isn’t going to punish hellions; his efforts will be concentrated on his friends. However, Hell isn’t a wonderful place, at least for good people. Prison for the general population isn’t a very fun place to be in, movie stars go to prison, but it’s different for them, more like time out from your mother, but regular prison is pretty tough and unpleasant, more like Hell. Love, mercy, help, companionship, compassion, these are not traits of the Devil, nor are they characteristics inherent in Hell. Hell isn’t necessarily filled with murders, the trait most common, disdain for God, or allegiance with the Devil. Mistakes, or repented of sins, murder, rape, armed robbery, all are horrible sins, but sins that can be repented of, avoiding Hell. Hell is for those who despise God, and do not see the error in their sins even when perfect clarity is brought to bear. Heaven, or any of the differing heavens, wouldn’t be heaven if ravaging devils were allowed to do what they do to us here on this earth; they must be kept to themselves, in Hell, for all eternity. The mistaken notion of becoming a better person is just that, a mistaken notion. Buddha taught the concept of shedding everything of your personal baggage to reach the highest pinnacle, but what if after shedding all of the baggage you are left with a black heart, or the spirit of the devil. Buddha assumed the essence of the spirit would be the same as his, but we are all different, from satanic to godly. I have read somewhere a cute analogy that goes something like this, “How do you know the strength difference between a large steel cable and a spider web? You test them! Precisely what this life is all about for the most part. We mistakenly assume this is our first test, but that isn’t true. It may be our last, but certainly not our first. Those who end up in Hell, are there, because, if they were given a million chances to prove themselves, the results would always be the same, the same as those who end up in heaven. God always makes the same choice, always. People who are sent to Hell will always make the same choices, always. Give them one more chance says the bleeding-heart sympathetic, but a million more chances will not alter their essence. God knew before they started on their journey where they were going, but they didn’t, and neither did anyone else, so it was necessary for all, except God, for the trial. How can I describe Hell if I’m devoid of the attributes of the devil? I can imagine a place filled with hatful liars, backstabbing each other in an attempt to out due each other, trying to gain the upper hand on their competition, and even un-seat Satan himself if possible. That is Hell, a place for un-repented heaters of God, a place where they will be imprisoned for ever, never allowed to molest again their victims. The genius of God is, how he allows the evil to molest, or try all others, which in effect, partially becomes the test for those who go to heaven. Jesus taught us to forgive all others, which is part of the test. Jesus understood the non-value of this life, in that he said to forgive those who trespass us. Forgive them because it will both burden our soul if we don’t, and condemn us if we take action against them in retaliation. I’ll step out of the way of the bullet coming from the robber, but I’m not going to track him down and murder him. If the robber murders me, and I forgive him, God will judge him, and me. Life isn’t worth the ill effects of revenge, even the thought of revenge is something you need to dispose of, pity is more along the lines of feelings towards those who trespass against you. Some religions use the fear tactic of a horrific Hell to persuade its beguiled parishioners into conformity and active membership, not love of God. Fear of Hell may help some to do good, but love of God is what propels a person to the greatest heights of spirituality. Following rules, or fearing the consequences will only bring a person half way, rules or consequences will never compel a person to the highest level in heaven, love only. Hell may seem like a punishment, but it isn’t. If you choose to go to hell, how can it be construed a punishment? There is a belief that a third of the spirits of this pre-life existence chose Hell, but why? Why would a third of the intelligent spirits chose to condemn themselves to an eternal damnation in Hell? Of course, if they could do it all over, with perfect vision looking back, they would choose to send us all to Hell and themselves to Heaven, to rule and rein over us for all eternity, making us all suffer under their oppressive hateful control, but alas, it didn’t work out for them the way they thought. My best guess as to how it all went down would be as follows: All of the spirits of God, including Jesus and Lucifer, were allowed to progress for an eternity before being born onto this planet. Eventually we all had a choice to make; follow Jesus, who was already a great leader, or follow Lucifer, a great leader too. God the father didn’t indorse either one of them, but we all spent eons with them, and knew each of them completely, there were no hidden secrets. Jesus gathered the majority, with Lucifer garnering only one third. The difference between them was crystal clear, Lucifer, the powerful take charge one who mastered the powers of a god, a god in his own rite, a leader who was proud of his accomplishments, rising up from his amoeba beginnings just like all of us but to a height equal to Jesus, one step under God kind of, the two most advanced spirits of Gods’ creation. Then there was Jesus, like Lucifer in advanced powers, but gentle, kind, loving, humble, friendly, everything the mighty Lucifer wasn’t. We had an eternity to get to know them both, and when the time came to choose, it was either follow Lucifer onto eternal progression, or Jesus, these were our only two choices, and there were no fence sitters. There was no indication from God that we should choose one over the other, anymore than there is any clear guidance here on this earth at this time. We are not only free to choose sides, but we choose not knowing from God, other than using faith, the essence of what we are, to choose between good or evil. The judgments of God always come with fully reveled reasons for the judgments so that all being judged, accept their judgment as being completely fair, even if they don’t like their final settlement. In this life, again we are blindly choosing every day, to make choices, choices that will determine our final destination. Nobody would choose to go to Hell, but raping, pillaging, and plundering may bring a judgment from God that will land us there. All the time, a thousand times a day, we are making choices that will determine our final judgment by God. It may come as a surprise to those being sent to Hell, but their choices are what will send them there. The un-repented sinner will fully accept the fairness in his judgment. What do you need to do in this life to get to Hell? I don’t know, but I would guess, hate God.

    Heaven:
Anything not in Hell is heaven. But how many differing places in heaven are there? A glimpse is referred to in John, 14:2. The hard truth is, on Sunday, you rub shoulders with a fine, God loving man, Bill, who on Monday, goes to work oppressing his pitiful employees who toil everyday being underpaid and over worked, while Bill becomes rich. It’s just business says Bill, the church going shoulder rubbing gentleman says, besides, if it wasn’t for rich men like me, they wouldn’t have a job, and furthermore, I finance the missionary program of this church with my excess wealth that the poor of this church can’t afford. You may be one of the oppressed employees of Bill that goes to a different church, do you want to spend eternity with Bill in the same kingdom, or mansion, or room, or whatever the scripture of the day says? There will be many different kingdoms in heaven, one suited for each of our kind, and one in which God and Jesus dwells, along with like minded individuals who love God with all their heart mind and strength. Why does Jesus and others keep saying we must love God with every particle of our being? Is it because God is vain, or because he enjoys seeing his children show him his due respect, is it because he feels greater when the peons like us pay homage to his greatness, is it a commandment so we will always know who’s the boss, the head honcho, is it like the big dog dominating the lesser of the pack, kind of like the lion that marks his territory with piss, or maybe it’s because he made an arbitrary rule, and now we must follow it? No, it’s none of those reasons, though some confused lower class, or lower heaven individuals might not understand the true reason, which is, to help us progress. The words, “to help us progress” are underwhelming at best. In Christianity, the very first rule, or law, is, love God with every possible effort you can, and if your best effort falls short by one millionth of a percent, you will not make it to eternal life, or eternal living in the kingdom of God. But why must it be so complete? God has said, no un-clean thing shall live in his kingdom, again, why? A better way to think about it, how would you feel about a God that falls short on love, a God who miss treats someone because his love isn’t perfect? That may answer the why, but it doesn’t answer the how. The how may tax my skills of communication beyond my abilities to convey properly how a person attains 100% love for God, though I know how to in my soul, articulating it properly, or didactically, may very well prove impossible, beyond my abilities. Attaining 100% pure love for God, the kind of love that is un-conditional, the kind of love that eliminates 100% fear, the kind of love that leaves its possessor 100% empty, yet 100% full, the kind of love that transforms the individual into the epitome of uncaring or aloofness, similar to Jesus hanging on the cross, who displayed an attitude of complete absence of concern for himself while blood oozed from his extremely painful wounds inflicted by heartless devils, then asking God to forgive his oppressors. That’s the kind of love necessary to have, or possess, but how do you get it? Maybe it isn’t possible to get it if you don’t already have it, but how you discover if you have it, that’s Gods’ job, which is the main purpose of everything. As a wise San Master, or Zen Master, one who has reached enlightenment, I may mistakenly think I had something to do with attaining enlightenment, or acquiring 100% love for God, when in fact, I have done nothing, except survive, just like everyone in existence. What did Jesus do to attain his level of enlightenment? He survived! What does a snake do to become a snake? Survive! What does a devil do to become a devil? Survive! We are here to develop into a perfect result of our essence. What did Job do to attain perfect love for God? He survived! I didn’t know I loved God 100% until he completely destroyed me, nothing was left of me except my love for God, he did not possess the power to destroy my love for him. God, the most powerful God, omnipotent God, couldn’t harm my love for him. There was nothing left of me, I was empty of everything, only love of God remained, pure love of God, which grows inside you until you are one with God and Jesus. Until you understand your essence, you cannot continue, you are in a dark world, following the lost. The lost will rush here and there looking for enlightenment but never finding it because they think they have found it, yet they are lost, fooled by distractions everywhere. Buddha’s, Guru’s, Zen Masters, Saints, they all think they have arrived at the pinnacle of spiritual growth, which they may have for them, but with God as my guide and Jesus as my friend and savior, and pure love of God in my soul, there is no end to growth. The pure love of God enables the individual to become like God, but, the pure love of God isn’t something you can receive from God. It is within you. Once discovered, you can allow it to grow with the help of God, or kill it, you are in control, not God or the Devil. If you are sincere, do the work required of God; seek after enlightenment and the spirit with an effort that qualifies as being the best you are capable of, enduring to the end, surviving the trials, then you may discover your true essence, or what your core is made of. Maybe it isn’t necessary in this life to discover your core value, but probably it is. Those who live life ignorant of God in this life, may have already proved their selves before this life, but never the less need to be born and live life on this planet like all others, not allowed to skip motility. As taught by many religions, love God with every fiber of your being, but how? You must seek to know God with every effort possible, not following the blind, but seeking him on your own. You cannot love something unknown, and loving a God created by man isn’t going to help. Following power hungry brokers of God will only get you so far, the final journey is always on your own, without outside help, if you are going to continue eternal life. The pure love of God eliminates the me in you. The pure love of God, that which Jesus possessed, was the reason for him saying, “I and the father are one”. The ignorant of the world assumed some sort of trinity type of nonsense because they are ignorant of pure love, and what it can do. There was no Jesus left in Jesus, only the pure love of God, which casts out the me. If a billion children of God possess the pure love of God, they will all declare, independently, “there is only one, I and the father are one” there is no room in me for me with the pure love of God in me too. The ignorant may see an identity loss by those who possess the pure love of God, but that is not true; there are many colors in the kingdom of God, many shapes, many styles, yet none independent of God, none who claim, I. God will bestow on those with the pure love of God, all that he has, and those who receive all that he has, claim nothing for themselves, and do everything for God, they are one with God, no desire for self that doesn’t add to God. So, what is heaven like? I don’t know, but there will be many, and the one with God has no end to growth, because there is no end to God.
