We are all going to die. The issue is why are we here? Why is there pain? Why emptiness? Is there really a God?

It makes sense to believe that God is because of design all around us (No design without a designer.). It makes sense to believe God has personality because we have personality, intelligence, a love of beauty, a sense of right and wrong, a need for belonging and so much more.

The reason why there is death is because of sin. Sin causes death and separation from God. He provided a way for us to come back to him through the sacrifice of His Son. When we accept that free gift, death no longer holds us captive. The free gift changes us in the most powerful way. The free gift changes the human heart and causes us to be born again. To
be truly alive in God. To be healed like this is the greatest gift. To know Jesus as savior IS the greatest gift.

One must first recognize they are a sinner (Look at the 10 commandments. Have you ever lied, cursed, lusted, dishonored your parents ect ). When you realize that you are a sinner, without a way of escape, then you are at a point where you can ask the dear savior to come into your heart. If you do this, He will change you, give you a desire to live for him. Sin will no longer be comfortable.

Look at these Web sites Answers in Genesis, BBN radio, Way of the Masters to further explore what I have written about.

He came to die so that we might live.

I find that dying to make things better was never a great idea, not for Christ, not for anyone else.

The only way to really make things better is to heal them.

So thanking Christ for dying for our sins makes little sense. Would have been better if he had stayed alive and helped people learn to live better.
