Grandparents Prayer Evening

family_prayereveningGrandparents often ask us what they can do in their area to affect and influence their children and grandchildren.

There are many things, some of which have been suggested in previous GrandParents Network Newsletters.

Prayer

The best (and most foundational) thing of course is prayer, and earlier this year some grandparents at the City Temple in Cardiff got together to just pray. There was no set agenda or pre-arranged programme, they just gathered one evening and after a brief time of sharing their respective concerns, they just began to pray. The time just flew by and the prayers just flowed. Cries for healing, restoring of relationships, as well as domestic and educational concerns just poured out. Everything seemed so relevant. Nothing seemed to large or small, just necessary because everything poured from earnest hearts.

The evening has already grown into a regular feature of the church – and the grandparents – life.

Why not try it where you are. You do not need many but you can accomplish much.
