I don’t fit in at work
I work in a small office of all women. There is a strong, tight clique of about five women (I don’t think they are Christians) and I’ve tried for over a year to fit in and connect and it’s just not working. They won’t let me in. When I participate in a conversation, they talk to each other as if I was invisible. I’m a Christian, like to dress well, am tall and friends have told me that I remind them of Lady Diana. I don’t let that go to my head, but I’m trying to figure out why I’m being shut out. Should I look for another job, or just keep to myself?
Advice: Keep trying to be nice to them. Eventually one of them will have a problem that only a Christian will have an answer to and she will come to you–then you will be included. Until then it gives them a sense of belonging to be a part of the basic five.
