An Honest Call for Help
Thank you, Lord, for giving me new insights.
Little by little you have been getting through my befuddled mind to teach me another concept useful for living.
Someone said that life doesn’t become problem-free as you get older. But in fact, I have found life gets more complicated.
Lord Jesus, I don’t like to hear this. I know you said that in this world we would have troubles, but for some reason I really thought there would be fewer problems as I got older because I should be wiser. But life becomes more complicated.
I wonder, Lord, is it because you need to constantly remind us that this earth is not our home . . . that we are heaven bound?
So many times I forget that people or circumstances or things cannot give me happiness, only you can.

I realize that my despair is just a lack of trusting you completely.
This day, Lord, I pray that you will enable me to trust you in and with each problem. Remind me to turn my eyes on you and your sufficiency.
I will lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord.
