I See Clearly

Written by Vonette Bright

Susan was tired. Once on the airplane, she didn’t want to talk to anybody about anything. But to be friendly to her seat mate, she initiated a conversation.

“Where are you going?” Susan asked. And that’s all it took. She learned Emily was from China.

“What do you do?” Emily asked her.

“(I write) for a Christian missionary organization,” Susan explained.

With resignation, Emily said, “I know nothing about Jesus.”

God opened the door for Susan to talk about her faith. She shared the gospel message with Emily, and right there Emily placed her trust in Christ.

“Emily, do you understand what you just did?” Susan asked.

Emily paused, looked upward and her eyes widened. “I . . . see . . . clearly.”

I urge you to be a lighthouse where you live . . . helping others see faith clearly.
