This is part 3 of 33. Click here to go back to the past video in the series

We all learned in the last video that history is defined by having knowledge of the past based on testimony.  Can we prove that George Washington lived? Yes, by physical testimony.  We all leave a foot print on the fabric of history but the question is, is it reliable, does it accurately tell the story of who you are?

Josh says in this video, “ The question is, is your testimony reliable? Is it trustworthy?  People lie.  People cheat.  People deceive.  People have false memory.  Is your testimony reliable, because every definition has a weakness and for my definition, is your testimony reliable? “

Some skeptics would ask the same question about the life of Jesus.  What Josh says ” Now when it comes to investigating Christianity, I stated it before, Christianity is a knowledge of the past based on testimony.  Mainly the scriptures, the Bible, what people refer to as the Word of God.  The question is, is that testimony reliable?

Under investigation, can you come to a reasonable conclusion …Yes I can trust the testimony about the Christian faith, about the New Testament, about the Old Testament.  This is what I want to look at in a number of segments.  What is the testimony, and is it reliable?  Is it accurate?  Is it trustworthy?”

Do you think that the bible is a reliable testimony of history?
