Praying to God
If you are at a loss for words these prayers may help you. Remember, prayer is simply talking to God. God wants to be our friend and he wants us to feel comfortable talking to him.
- When you are unsure of where you will spend eternity:
Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen
- When you are fearful:
Father God, I am feeling fearful today. Life seems to be uncertain and out of control. I recall that the Bible tells me “Perfect love casts out fear”. You alone are Perfect Love, so would you please cast out the fear I feel and replace it with confidence in your sufficiency. Psalm 121 tells me that you never slumber or sleep, so I will trust you to take care of me – moment by moment, day by day. In Jesus name. Amen - Morning prayer:
Dear Lord, I give you may hands to do Your work; I give You my feet to go Your way; I give You my eyes to see as You see; I give You my tongue to speak Your words; I give You my mind that You may think in me; I give You my spirit that You may pray in me. Above all, I give You my heart that You may love in me – love the Father and love all humankind. I give You my whole self, Lord, that You may grow in me, so that it is You who lives, works and prays in me. Amen.
- Commitment prayer:
Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. For it is your business, not mine. You will know every shade of my suffering; You will care for me with your perfect fatherhood. (prayed by George Mac Donald)
- In God’s will:
Lord Jesus, keep me in Your will. Don’t let me go mad by poking about outside it. (prayed by Corrie Ten Boom)
- When you need wisdom and direction:
Father God, there are so many decisions to make and I don’t seem to know what is the best for now or for the future. You said if we lack wisdom, all we need to do ask you. I really need you to pour wisdom into my mind today. Thank you!
- For success:
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.” So God granted him what he requested. (I Chronicles 4:10 NKJV)
- When you are weak or ill
Father, I am feeling lousy today. I ache all over and feel very weak. You said that your grace was sufficient for me. Please strengthen me. Give me joy inspite of how I feel physically. Amen
- For the young women of the world:
Father God, thank you for all the young women in the world. Give them dreams that are bigger than themselves–so they will have to trust you to make their dream come true. Give them a will and heart to be all you created them to be. Help them to work hard and be successful.Enable them to be generous to those who are less fortunate. Give them hearts full of love and compassion.Give them the strength to say “no” to activities that they would later be remorseful about–that they would do what is right for them and for the world around them. Help them to be kind to others.
Protect them from people who would harm them physically, emotionally and mentally.
Let them know that allowing You to direct their way is the smartest thing they can do. In Jesus wonderful and powerful name. Amen

Lord, I am so glad that you know each of our children and grandchildren by name. I forget sometimes. Thank you for sending a whole hedge of angels around each child. Thank you for protecting them all today. Father, would you please turn their minds and hearts toward You and pleasing you. Thank you!

Lord, I really don’t what to move. I like it here – there are so many memories. I am comfortable here because it is familiar. I know it is too large for me (us) now – to much work, but I have such mixed feelings. I don’t like the thought of all the changes.I am so glad you never change. You are and always will be a constant in my life. Help me to remember that when I am packing and unpacking. Amen.

Dear God, when your son Jesus died and rose from the dead, He broke down walls of hostility. Father, you know that conflict I am having right now. I don’t know how to resolve it. You are our Savior. Please save and restore this relationship. Amen

Heavenly Father, I praise and worship you because you are God. I am honored to be your servant and I take my stand today against the devil and his schemes against me, my family and my ministry. Father, as I take up each piece of the armor, please secure it in place on me.I take up the shield of faith and extend it over myself. It extinguishes all the fiery darts of the evil one. I put on the helmet of salvation, which protects my mind from the enemy’s attacks. I have the mind of Christ. I put on the breastplate of righteousness, which covers my body with the righteousness of God. In Christ, every foothold of evil has been washed away and I am clothed in righteousness! I gird my loins with the belt of truth. Your word, O God, is truth. Father, sanctify me according to your word and remind me through the Holy Spirit of the truth that destroys the lies of sin. I shod my feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. I have peace with God through the blood of Jesus. I have favor with God and with man. I walk in my inheritance as an adopted son of God and have authority over evil in Jesus’ name. I will use the Sword of the Spirit by speaking the Word of God as it applies to whatever situation I may face today. Father, please remind me of your Word via the Holy Spirit.

This is truly a blessing,I’m so glad I found this page. I’ve never been able to say those really beautiful prayers like so many can do and I’ve always said all I know how to do is just talk to God like he’s right here with me. I believe He is right here with me. I was looking for scripture, I think it’s in the Bible where it talks about sending a hedge of angels for protection?? I live in a town of about 1100 and two of our 16yr old boys were in a terrible accident last Sat morning. They were in a convertible Corvette going over 100miles an hour and lost control on a very pecarious country road that is twisty,windy,full of hill, sharp curves, and two one way bridges! The boys rolled and rolled into a field where the car finally came to a stop upside down. The boys were both ejected from the car because they were not wearing seat belts but Thank You God they were not or they likely wouldn’t be here at all today. One of the boys Trevor is doing so much better now but the other boy Chris is not doing so well. Ppl have come from far and wide to pray, offer support etc. I’m just here looking for any kind of scripture I can post on our Prayer page to keep some ppl hanging on. When the doctors say make a decision to unplug Chris it throws ppl into thinking he’s gone anyway but he IS NOT! His heart rate accelerates and his blood pressure goes up when he hears his loved ones….that is NOT someone who has no brain activity is it? Well it doesn’t matter anyway I’m Believing God IS going to do another Miracle on Chris! Thank you so much for all the wonderful scripture. “After growing up in a Christian home and being baptized as a teenager, I drifted for 30 years. I had a vague feeling that all was not well, but did not realize how far I’d fallen. With considerable difficulty I did hold onto a job, but was not getting ahead. I had lost rapport with my family (wife and 3 children), felt lonely and even bitter at times. I even looked at horoscopes, but found that evil spirits were starting to cater to me. I was horrified. I prayed that God show me how to straiten out my life. Then God gave me a dream in which I was on my way to hell, and I knew why. That shook me up! God is now leading me day by day to serve Him. There is so much to do, and so little time. Yet with His guidance people are helped and I am blessed.
So, you are at the “turn-around” place, for God is answering your prayers to wash you clean! HE has a plan for your life, and as it says in Jeremiah 29:11-14 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord,… NIV
Paul, you are blessed already! Every saint has his past, and every sinner has a future. God is helping you to get to know Him, and He is leading you forward, one-step-at-a-time. Pray for an increased hunger for His Word, and set aside time every morning to meet with God in Bible reading & prayer. HE will fill your heart with joy and peace. It may not always go easy, but you need to trample the devil under-foot and move forward as the Holy Spirit leads. I’m walking beside you for a little while. Please let me know when you are feeling a break-through and know that Jesus has washed you clean. Blessings!
The good news Paul is that God promises that when he forgives us our sins, He removes them from us. You need to accept that forgiveness and trust that He has not only forgiven but forgotten them. He sees You covered over with the robe of righteousness given to you by Jesus so those sins no longer need to haunt you.

region over the last 21 years. Chinyard is one of the development initiatives providing service to poorest of the poor. Chinyard prime vision is to bring destitute main stream of the society. Because We would like to introduce our organization called CHINYARD operating in North Karnataka of underprivileged masses are deprived from economic, social and institution opportunities. Chinyard was registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act-1950. For overseas assistance purpose Chinyard was registered under Ministry of Home Affairs for the Foreign Contribution and Regulation Act-1976.
The Chinyard operating area is recognized drought prone area; most of the marginal and poor farmers depend upon only agricultural, due to scanty of rains land remains fallow. Therefore peasants are not getting adequate employment opportunities here. Hence farmers are migrating towards metropolitan cities for search of livelihood option. Consequence of parent’s migrant children deprived from education. The Chinyard organization has been implemented several social development programmes for uplift of destitute people. Those programmes are following.
? Promotion of livelihood activities: under this programme Chinyard was organized various livelihood activity training like tailoring, dairy farm, poultry, embroidery and vermin compost training to women self help group. After the training Chinyard was helped them to startup their own enterprise and provided market linkage to sell their product in market.
? Rural Small Micro Entrepreneurship Development Programme: under this Chinyard was given training to 976 women on various rural micro enterprises. After the training Chinyard supported to began own enterprises.
? Women empowerment: under this programme Chinyard was formed 5243 women self help groups and provided bank linkage. Chinyard believes in UNITY IS STRENGHT for keep this quote in mind Chinyard is organizing women in to self help groups. For this accomplishment Chinyard has been received state level second award. For women self help group member’s skill up gradation purpose Chinyard has been organized various trainings and workshop.

Biodiversity Conservation and Natural Resource Management Programme: under this project Chinyard was formed watershed committee, community based tank management committee and village forest committee this project prime objective was to awareness about Biodiversity conservation and Natural Resource Management. For this accomplishment Chinyard was received National level productivity award, given by central agricultural ministry of India.
? Capacity building training for self help group’s members: under this programme Chinyard was given training on concept of SHG, Credit Management, Unity and cooperation, Problem solving, Panchayat Raj System, Right To Information Act, leadership and effective communication, Book Keeping and Account Maintenance.
? Road safety Awareness program: By this programme Chinyard was taken initiative to provide road safety awareness among vehicle owner and school children and college students through street play, photo exhibition and dram.
? Eradication Violence against woman: Through this programme Chinyard was organized several human rights awareness programme among rural people under this programme Chinyard was given awareness about gender sensitization and mitigation of dowry system. And whom were facing violence for them Chinyard has provided legal assistance.
? Tribal handicraft: through this programme Chinyard has taken initiative to conserves ancient tribal handicraft, and given technical training to upgrade their handicraft skill. Promoted market linkage to sell their product in market. Under this programme Chinyard was given training to 300 Kasuthi artisan, 107Mirror artisan and 40 quilt production training.
? Scholarship amenities to meritorious students: Through this programme Chinyard has been providing scholarship to economically background meritorious student to continue their study. Under this programme yearly 150 meritorious students benefiting.
? Computer literacy programme: Through this programme Chinyard is providing computer education to rural student and slum student. Under this programme Chinyard has been giving basic computer training to unemployed youths.
? Animal welfare programme: Through this programme Chinyard has taken initiative to construct water pond in rural area and started animal fodder center from this center Chinyard has been disbursing fodder to farmers.
? Micro Credit Programme: By this programme Chinyard has been supporting Micro credit facility to rural poor masses. This programme prime vision is to support to startup micro enterprise and to generate income generation activities to rural masses. Hitherto Chinyard has supported 53200 women self help group. Till the data women self help groups cumulative savings 4.50 crore and Internal lending 9 crore.
? Drinking water Project: Under this project Chinyard was given bore well repair training to 35 Tribal women to take initiative to repair bore well.
? Documentation: Chinyard has been keeping day to day activities report, If higher authority, donor required report immediately Chinyard will submit. Chinyard has done rating care by Mcril rating agency, Mumbai. Also done external evaluation of rural women empowerment by Mahamad. Guttigar . Hitherto Chinyard has published annual report. Chinyard provided opportunity to researcher to do study at organization.
? Human Resource: In Chinyard organization there are 32 well qualified, experienced staffs are working over the last 21 years. Chinyard staff has passionate towards social work and work for underprivileged development uplift purpose.

When I read these prayers I broke down into tears. Being 16 years old it is easy to be led astray and after dealing with a hard time with drug use in my social group and family it is so comforting to know that I always have God and Jesus Christ to guide me. I haven’t been to church in over 6 months these moving prayers have inspired me to get my life back on track. God bless!
