Trash Talk
Okay, so you’re a child of God! Have you opened your manual lately? Well then, it’s no wonder you can’t fight the battle.
Open the book! Everything you need for a victorious life is in there. God gives us all the tools, and the power to use them, if we’ll just do it! But you gotta quit thinking and talking that trash! The evil one wants you to think you’ll never make it. And on top of that, you even know he’s a liar! You know what I’m talking about.
Start here by changing that trash talk to the royal truth of our Lord!
- Trash talk: I just can’t
Truth: “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength” Phil. 4:13.
- Trash talk: I’m so worried
Truth: “My God will meet your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” Phil.4:19
- Trash talk: I’m so afraid
Truth: “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” 2 Tim. 1:7.
- Trash talk: I don’t have faith
Truth:“God has allotted to each a measure of faith” Rom. 12:3.
- Trash talk: I’m so weak
Truth: The Lord is the strength of my life” Ps. 27:1.
- Trash talk: I’m feel so defeated
Truth:“Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ” 2 Cor. 2:14.
- Trash talk: I’m not wise
Truth: “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously” Jas. 1:5.
- Trash talk: I’m so anxious
Truth: “Cast all my anxiety on Him, because He cares for me” 1 Pet. 5:7.
- Trash talk: I’m so consumed
Truth: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” 2 Cor. 3:17.
- Trash talk: I feel condemned
Truth: “There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” Rom. 8:1.
- Trash talk: I’m so lonely
Truth: “I am with you always” Matt. 28:20. “Never will I ever leave you; never will I forsake you” Heb. 13:5.
- Trash talk: I feel so confused
Truth: “God is not the author of confusion but of peace” 1 Cor. 14:33.
- Trash talk: I feel like a failure
Truth: “In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us” Rom 8:37.
Why should we ever let anything in this world bother us when the Lord tells us“In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” John 16:33.
