I just want to share with you that God can totally handle all the negative feelings we have, even about Him. Also, that God looks at the heart. He is not so concerned with outward appearance, or us looking like we are happy people. He knows when we are down and He knows what you are going through now. Tell God everything you feel. What’s important is that you approach God about it. He can handle anything. He is not condemning and guilt and shame is not from Him at all. It is from the enemy.

How do we know that guilt and shame is from the devil and not from God? Well, what happens when we feel those feelings? We stay away from God, right? So I encourage you to get closer to God. When we feel bad, it’s a time to get closer to God. Guilt and shame is just a barrier that just imprisons people – this is not from God. God is about freedom.

Another thing I want to share is to encourage you to consider that our lives are a spiritual battle. Everyday, the devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8)…what it looks like on earth is destruction – in the form of depression, economic losses, divorce, arguments between loved ones, etc…. when there is no Holy Spirit there is no fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). The negative things in life we experience is due to the lack of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives.

What you’re feeling now us a result of a spiritual battle. The only way to really be on the winning side is through a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Lord God, I lift up Beated, Battered and Broken and I ask Lord that you touch this person’s life. I pray Lord that you provide the resource for a life of freedom through Jesus Christ. That you open up the paths for freedom from negative feelings, doubt, guilt, shame and burden. People say be thankful of what you have , be contented etc – i think seriously that is a bunch of bullxxit. And no offence to anyone , i keep getting this message that i am “part of some greater plan” , or the Lord’s reply is “not yet” or “yes” , or is a “Test of faith” -> personally i think it smacks of just a politically correct answer. If not, ok , i have definitely failed everything on all accounts.

i am now even sceptic about asking for forgiveness – somehow it did not work for me (or maybe once again, i had no faith, i was doing too much bad things)

Ok, and now that i have typed this, its back to the same cycle – probably accepting that this is punishment for all my past sins may make me feel better – and since I would be most likely be punished by his angels again…. and know i know why we have alcohol……

Let me assure you that Jesus had heard your prayers. He is at work in your life right now and He has plans for you that are far greater than you could ever ask or imagine. He has promised that He will help you to stand in the middle of any storm, including this one that you are in right now. I don’t know why He has allowed this stuff to happen to you but I know that He has His infinite attention on you right now and wants you to know His love and His strength. Don’t give up! He is not finished with you and He will make something beautiful out of the chaos that you find yourself in.

Lord God, I pray for Cheryl right now and ask that You would bring new hope and joy into her life. I pray that she would have a new awareness of Your presence with her and that would give her strength to stand. Bring people into Cheryl’s life who will help her keep her eyes focused on You. In Jesus’ name amen.

Many times God allows trials into our lives even though we don’t understand why he does not help us. The only thing we can do is trust God as Isiah 43: 2 When you go through deep waters, I will be there with you. When you go through the rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. All we can do is ask God to give us the strength to show us his will and live one day at a time.
