“I’m not being stubborn!” If you’re yelling it, you probably are. How do people become stubborn? We become locked into thinking patterns that are not helpful or productive. Sometimes it happens most easily with the people we know the best, like our own family. If we believe they are wrong and we are right, we take an “us vs them” mentality. Unwilling to budge, show mercy, or reconcile, being right begins to take precedence over being loving. Have you experienced this before, from your own family or from someone else?
