How Many Chances Do You Get? Video provided by: 36 Parables

We want fairness. At least, we say we do. But fairness means getting exactly what you deserve, all the time, with no exceptions. What we really want is a little extra preferential treatment for ourselves and fairness for everyone else.

I once heard it said that “The beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair.” Do you think the teacher made the right choice in the video? We cannot know how this story turns out, but when is it wrong to show grace and mercy?

    Amazing history.

Enough said that is easy to help someone in the good times when everything goes as planned and there is no issue at sight…

    But…

    ¿what happens if one fails?
¿what happens if there’s an issue?

I believe, that, his teacher took the right way because he saw far beyond tomorrow (the next day after the incident) and he saw student’s life implications of not helping him and let him go from the school.

That’s why he choose to teach his student, after class, instead of punish him.

We are our habits, we are what we believe and we take actions based in what we thought and feel… those extra clases represent a big step further to construct a good lifestyle.

The deep meaning of this story is that, it is easy to help when everything flows… but the hard part of “help”, is to acknowledge when is really needed, regardless the situation.

That’s why i believe that this teacher took the right choice, and the hard road at the same time.

Based in another fact, i believe in diamonds. They don’t grew up like flowers or grass, they don’t felt from the sky, they were made by pressure… tons of pressure.

I don’t meant by this that everybody has to become a martyr, but if one wants to succeed at something, he gotta pay the price.
