    Ante;

    Does your web name have some semblance with the Greek term before such as in the ante-Nicene Fathers? Secondly I don’t understand your comment; I thought this was good fun clean humor describing how we all have to suck it up and make sacrifices for family and friends. Jesus probably got a laugh out of this. Remember when he scolded Martha (I think) for her belly-aching about having to do all the house work, I think He would have much rather hear her make a parity on how she always has to do the dishes.

    I loved this video.

    I love this video! I can laugh at it because I can see the humour at the dysfunction carried on year after year in my own family, that, while sad, also shows me how much we missed the whole point of Christmas while refusing to stop the “game cycle” for fear of “hurting” others who probably wanted to get off the “people-pleasing wheel” too! This short clip is a wonderful way for me to stop and seek my Lord to ask Him to help me examine myself for things that I may still be doing that are defeating the reason for celebrating His’ birth!

  • That was great and good for a laugh which got my endorphins and serotonin levels up to deal with similar situations! I will have to remember this vignette when all the heck breaks loose!

    Thanks you for the Christmas present!!!

    Great point.. this year our family has decided to skip the madness of giving gifts and just go on a family vacation together.

  • ante says:

    it is far from love and freedom, that are crucial categories of Jesus Christ.

    Hi! This video clip is a real hoot!!!! I was getting ready for her to continue her list of “doing and making” and then snap! Almost too funny to listen to!
    Yet sad. Hopefully, we can learn from unreasonable Christmas expectations and enjoy each other for Jesus’ sake and pleasure!!
