Dear Father God,
We come before you this day to help us with cravings in our lives. I pray that if we want to crave that it be with you only. Crave for Your leadership, security, love and many more for You all the time in our lives. In Jesus Mightyname amen
That’s great to hear Dorothy. It is so good to know that Jesus is the Power to Change lives and He asks us to join in the conversation He is already having with people. May He lead you into many more and give you the joy of seeing Him change lives.
Since ‘Crave’ came to Calgary – I viewed it at Centre Street Church I’ve been engaged in some amazing conversations just by walking along side of people.
Thank you so much for initiating the power to change. :)

Thanks Erwin. Very fresh look at sharing Christ. We have to meet them where they are and be “real.”
Let me suggest you also have a look at theLIFE.com and watch the video there that is a great call to commit to at Any time, and Any where, at Any cost, do Any thing that Jesus calls you to do.
This video is truly inspiring; I will be showing it at the couples retreat we have coming up.
WOW!!! I have been researching Christian documentaries for months and this was so inspiring. Very well made, beautifully depicted! I will be showing this to my film class, so happy to have found it.
Blessings!

I cannot wait to see this documentary. It was brought up in church the other day and everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about it.
This documentary was absolutely amazing……there are so many people out there who have indeed had negative experiences with “religion.” I believe that it is our responsibility as Christians to walk along side of these people and “love them to Jesus!” My family and I recently became part of an awesome church in North Myrtle Beach, SC called Barefoot Community Church and their vison is to “Change lives that change the world!” They make EVERYONE who walks through their doors feel loved, special and secure. That is what it is all about that is what “Jesus would do!” Keep these great documentaries coming……..LOVE IT!!
So Nicole how are you going to have a part in changing the world? Anything you think God is leading you to do?
This is a phenominal eye opener for those who are watching this. I am very encouraged by this! Thank you for making this video! After seeing this movie I definitely want to have a part in changing this world. Need I say more!
Just let God be God and take full control of our lives.
Gabe Lyons new book entitled “Next Christians” is very in line with this video. Religion and “crusty” church world is dying but a new bread of Christ followers are rising up. These people are focused on restoration. They are focused on bringing the kingdom of Heaven on this earth NOW… through the life they live. In this video you can see the passion that Irwin has for Christ in his eyes. Did Jesus not come to abolish religiosity? The Next Christians focus on love, on cultivating authentic relationships with people around them and on “being the change they wish to see in the world”.
Wow! this documentary really helped me understand that we as christians need to approach people in a less judging and more comprehensively way when talking to the about Jesus. Our lives definetly need to show more testimony of spiritual change and less words to try to convert people.
Hi Pauline, I am sorry to hear that this year has been such a struggle for you. It’s amazing all the different things that can come up in our lives which impact our willingness to surrender to God’s sovereignty. Sometimes it’s difficulties but it can also come when things are going well. No matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, we can always know that God will continue to pursue and draw us back to Himself. You’re proof of that! The desire in you to have God on the throne has been put there by the Holy Spirit. That’s something to be thankful for.
So your confidence can be in God’s character: His love for you and His limitless grace that is sufficient to deal with all of our rebellion and stubborn independence. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness… My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense– Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1John 1:9, 2:1-2) Your confession has been heard by God. Your rebellion has been forgiven because that’s God’s nature.
Now let me ask you a question, when you repented and asked God to occupy the throne of your life, was there something that the Holy Spirit asked from you? Often, when I come the place of recognizing my rebellion there is an area of my life that the Holy Spirit will point to as the point where I got into trouble in the first place; the source of my rebellion. My problem is I don’t respond to that right away. I either subconsciously discount that prompting or intentionally ignore it. And then I wonder why things don’t change! I don’t know if that has happened in your situation but I know it’s been true for me.
Re: Soul Craves… I wrote to you a while back, in May, with comments about the video..Life has been a struggle this year, with recent bouts of illness; God had somehow got knocked off the throne of my life, and my health issues took over. I just want God to be on the throne again…I did repent recently, and asked Him to be back on the throne, but it just feels like nothing has changed. And yes, I know, we dont rely on a feelings! Would appreciate any thoughts on this please.
Hi Christine, I am glad you enjoyed the Crave documentary. I love the easy way that Erwin talks to the people in this video. And talking about what people crave lends itself to that kind of conversation.
There are some tools that you can use to get those conversations going. First of all, I recommend Erwin’s book “Soul Cravings”. It is a good read. Power To Change, in partnership with Erwin, has created a smaller version of “Soul Cravings” called “The Prequel” which can be used as a conversation starter about people’s soul cravings. You can see the link for that on the side panel of this page or you can follow this link which will take you to our resource area. There you will find a copy of “The Prequel” and other resources. There is a quick video where you can get some tips on how to use “The Prequel” to talk to others about their soul cravings. At the resource page there is also a Kit that can be used for groups to train together to be more effective in having conversations about people’s soul cravings.
Hope that helps you.
My heart goes out to Edward.
Sorry for the loss of your loved member. You should not feel bad. When you find that you can not trust yourself, at least trust in God but believe in yourself too, because as you say, you believe in Jesus Christ, which is what we all crave for. It is human to feel bad especially after such a loss but while we believe that we shall all meet our loved ones at the appointed time, this is the reason to start being positive about the loss, remembering that we can not change the situation.
Le me pray for you: Our loving Father and God, I thank you for Edward and the fact that he believes in your son Jesus Christ. He has undergone such great loss and pain due to bereavement and I pray that you will give him the peace that he very much needs and the assurance that he can trust you to take him through this trying moment as you are our greatest comfort. Give him the desire to crave for you and to know that through all challenges in life, you are a friend that is closer than a brother. Help him to get closer to you because only you understand our situations and identify with our every situation. Thank you for loving and caring for him and thank you for being his friend.
In Jesus’ name I do pray and believe.
AMEN.
What a beautiful thought provoking video. I am a Christian gee I hate saying that because if you looked at me not physically in the looks but my personality I would reflect or give the Lord a bad name. Lately it has been my burden on how to bring people to Him or at least share Jesus with them. Without sounding weird or judgemental. I would like to know more on how to bring people to be aware of their soul craving.
Glad you enjoyed it sdsa.
i like this ar very much
growing up in a christian family i knew God but he wasn’t enough about 20 years ago, i was mad i did crave love so i loved men i couldn’t touch as they were married i think it was safe but also i would collect stuffies to end my crave but ultimatley it is God that we crave and to fill our hole in our soul i know that now
I had another look at the video, and took notes this time! It was intersting to see how many people blamed God for their own personal problems they had, asif its all His fault !Background / upbringing had a huge part to play as well, like the young woman who was brought up in a catholic home…put her right off faith of any sort. Being force-fed religion does seem to be a big thing. For me, although never an athiest, I could never grab a hold of the fact that God Himself, knew me and loved me !! You must be joking! If He knew me, theres no way on this planet, that He would love me !!I was the most unlovable person ever….if people did,nt like me or love me, then why should God? Thank God He brought people into my life, who accepted me, as I was, ( not now ! ) and helped me to realise just how much God does love me. He has changed me so much, I,m not the same person. Christians walked along side me, answered all my questions, and, believe me, there were many! Thankyou for showing the video. Thank God for the internet, I,m in the UK. gb all of you
Thanks for visiting our site and I am so glad that you liked the video Pauline! If you would like talk more about what your soul craves we would love to dialogue further with you!
liked the video
“Instead of arguing with people, how about walking alongside people and helping them realize what their soul craves.”
I was wondering if anyone could tell me, what was Irwin’s last statement.
‘Instead of arguing with people, how about walking alongside people and letting them know there’s still a ? .’ I listened to it several times and still couldn’t get the last wor

Please excuse me but I don’t know if my story is relelevant to the this subject.
I do believe in Jesus Christ, for most of life I didn’t make effort to live in the words of the Lord and for that I’ve have suffered and abandon my self to the negatives. but the Lord has not given up on me, deep down inside I have become ashame and lost my way. this has become apparent when I suffered a HUGE LOST of a family member who was tied to the Lord, I just feel like a ungreat Bastard! this has left me in deep sadness. The good People depart from this world and people like me live another day. the lost was from illness but I did not see this coming, from that lost I can not function living has become a task. from person to the next, It’s very unsettling when you can’t trust your self or any decision. at 37 life closing around on me! lost for me is preety recnt. some one out just prey for me!
I found this website insightful, inspiring and thought provoking.
I have discovered my purpose and destiny through difficult circumstances and have been called by God to help others discover theirs. By pursuing the profession of life coaching I have committed my life to walking alongside others, guiding them to discover what they already know about themselves. With life changing skills including personal and professional boundaries individuals can actualize their full potential. This process is a spiritual one whether we acknowledge it or not. God created us to act on it. Call it purpose, call it destiny, I call it “Experiencing the Spirit of Success through Community.”
I feel Love, Joy and Peace watching your DVD because I believe God is moving in a powerful way to unite all people to paddle in the same canoe together.
Let’s travel through life in faith through community.

Sin may kill you, but religion will inoculate you against the only cure.
There is a problem with so much faith that you don’t connect. There’s the chance for love and success only when faith rises in the midst of doubt. Having joy in the midst of both doubts and faiths brings worlds together.
We call meaningless things meaningful and that’s called superstition.
We call meaningful things meaningless and that’s called a mistake.
Our worlds and our hearts can be land-mine-field of both now, but that realization is another step in the journey. Be joyful.
Thank you…yah, creativity and spirituality walking alongside. Well done video. 10!
art, I am sorry to hear about your marriage. I believe God loves us and wants to walk through this with you. Here at Power to Change we offer a mentoring program that allows individuals private conversations with a trained mentor. If you would like to talk to someone privately , we can set you up with a mentor today.
I ask God to give me eyes to see what he is doing and when He knows I can handle it, he shows me. I couldn’t help but search the “meaning” in Erwin. Derived from Irving or Irvin, Erwin can mean Friend and Raphael…Gods healer. Since healed and saved were often interchangable I think it would be just like God to give Mr. McManus the name that means “a friend that helps God save.” In fact wouldn’t we all want to be this? but then again his purpose for me is just as special :0)
I think this is very good.
Also living the life before the unsaved is so important.
Getting to know them their hurts and the fears, then try to show them the Saviour who died for them and wants to fill the empty void that we all had until Christ filled it for those who followed him
My wife and I have been married for 19yrs.and have 3 beautiful kids that god has given us,our marriage wasn’t the greatest and I understand that we are human and make mistakes thru life,we both have commited adultry, and now she wants a divorce because another man is in her life and I have been trying to keep our marriage, and I turned to god with shame from the things I’ve done in the past, and I prayed my heart to god to save our marriage, and I comed to realize my love for my wife is so much more uncoditional now than ever before
I read gods word and learning his way for our path in life and my love for god is soo much more spiritually in becoming a believer, and turning and being god child and now I feel that I’m dieing of the things of the world,
Excellent documentary – very poignant. Instead of arguing with non-Christians or shoving them in the direction we want them to go (which pushes them away), we need to just love them, walk beside them, get to know them. I agree, people crave a relationship with others, people crave to love and be loved. As Christians develop friendships and relationships with non-Christians, they will soon ask us – what is that light of love in your eyes? Our walk and talk will draw them into a deeper discussion – for what they truly crave.
I applaud the effort in making this documentary. Christ was/is a grassroots type of evangelist and this doc drives home the point of how many believers have missed the marked. We need to be real with ourselves and be real with others with our struggles and triumphs. It’s hard to relate and share the gospel with others if we aren’t caring and able to identify with the frailty of our humanity.
I liked this video. It brought up some really great points.
My desire is that all men and women find a caring Christian community and begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and learn how to lead others to Him.
“Instead of arguing with people, instead of fighting with them, instead of trying to be right, how about if we just start walking along side of people and helping them realize that their soul craves.”
I love this.
