I work with offenders in the community. I will be purchasing this book and will be handing out copies to my clients. Fondly enough we attended a non-denominational service at the St Mary’s Cathedral in Perth last evening and sadly, it was not well attended. There seems to be a hidden directive that we are not to use “religion” or “spirituality” or belief in a Higher Being in our dealings with our clients. I strongly believe this should be seriously revisited. There are chaplains in prisons, from different denominations, why should there not be chaplains linked to community corrections. Please pray for this desire in my heart, that the hearts and minds of respective leaders in this department will be opened to the ultimate truth that with God nothing is impossible, and yes, including changing attitudes and behaviours of offenders in our communities.
