Cranberry Apple Crisp

life_crispIngredients:

5 cups peeled sliced apples (5 medium)
1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Topping (see below)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease an 8×12-inch, 2-quart baking dish. In a large bowl,
combine all ingredients except Topping. Toss to coat fruit. Spoon into a baking dish. Sprinkle
Topping evenly over fruit mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and apples are
tender. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

Topping:

1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

In a small bowl, combine rolled oats, brown sugar, and flour. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in nuts.
