Hey there Victoria! I'm glad you found our site and took the time to write down your questions. We don't really have a beauty expert that is able to respond but as someone with very fine hair I thought I could maybe answer your questions.

It's normal for hair to follow out, but not in great big gobs. If hair loss is excessive it could be a problem with your thyroid. Have you had it checked lately? If not, that's a place to start.

If you find that you have a lot of split ends, you most likely need to get it cut more often to keep it healthier. Your hair reflects what else is going on in your body too. Do you have a lot of stress in your life? That will show up in your hair. Also different medications will also affect your hair.

I don't know if any of these things ring a bell, but as I said, I myself have really thin hair so I have learned a lot about keeping it healthy over the years.

@LA gal, have you read this article? http://glamouredited.com/hair/faceshape.html

I have fine, thin, wavy hair and it's getting much nicer. Here are some things I do to care for my hair:
Use a wide-toothed comb instead of a brush--it's much gentler
Most nights before bed, comb and braid my hair
After establishing an effective hair care routine, cut MOST of my split ends off; i.e. 4-6 inches
Showering:
Use a light shampoo on roots; drag it down through the rest of your hair
Cationic conditioner every two days
Fruitamin conditioner every other day ("olive oil-rich") (it's not normal conditioner at all, but if you're gentle with a comb, it adds strength!)
Don't use much conditioner on the roots (except the base of the back where it gets all tangly very, very easily); mostly on the "ends" which I define as anything that would be part of a ponytail.
Allow time for my hair to dry a little before I put it under a coat or scarf or the wind.
Comb it throughout the day if necessary.

...Yeah, this sounds really neurotic and I should probably cut my hair really short, I'm just afraid it will look bad with my face!

I don't know how differently it would work on you very curly girls. You probably want something very slippery and potent to allow your hair to be manageable and also to prevent breakage. What are your hair management methods?

I have straight hair that I don't color and I swear that Shielo's Volume Line gives me more swing to my hair when I use it. I also use Shielo's Volume Hairspray (its Flexible Hold) on my daughter sometimes and I notice that her flyaways are much neater after using the Shielo brand.

The scent is AMAZING!

I have also gotten compliments on the scent from people when my hair was dry. I recommend this shampoo to anyone who is looking to stretch out their haircut visits. Your hair stays healthy and smells great.

I never heard of the Shielo brand. However, on a tip from someone else.....I tried it....and it's AWESOME! Specifically their Volume line. It makes your hair VERY thick the very first time you use it. It only contains natural ingredients too! Great product! If you want to thicken your hair for a GREAT price for a quality shampoo then you might want to try this product! I was shocked, but this shampoo is the best thickening shampoo that I have ever used (and I've used a many). Great Product!
