I’ve been dating this incredible guy for awhile now. He’s very good to me, and I know that he likes me very much, but he has not said those “three little words” yet. He is very sweet, but I feel like the lack of “mushy romantic” words is getting me down. When we talk on the phone it ends with “talk to you later” and feels pretty unemotional. I don’t want to put any pressure on him to express his feelings if he’s not ready to.
Advice: What you see is what you get. Not all men are created equal. If he has enough of the good qualities that you love learn to accept him as he is. You can say how much it would mean to you to have him say, “you’re wonderful, thanks for talking” or “Good night, I love you.” Tell him once and if he doesn’t change, then that is the way it is going to be.
Focus on the good things and quit trying to change him to be just like you. Dr. Ginger
