I feel like I’m living in a box

I really don’t know what I feel right now. I feel empty and lost a lot of the time. I don’t have the close relationship with God that I desire to have. It feels like I’m inside a box and the world around me continues to go on. I don’t know what to do. I just want to feel happiness again. Any suggestions at all would help.

Many people have struggled with feelings like this. Tim Hansell wrote in a poem in his book, Put On Your Dancing Shoes that says, “blow the side off the box and build a floor to dance on” or something like that. Your box has to do with unexpressed emotions and unfinished business from child hood. Old unresolved issues cause us to go numb. Why don’t you start by reading Henry Cloud’s Changes That Heal. Read that book and get back to us.
