Advice: It is great that you are looking for ways to stay home with your children. Many women enjoy being in a place where they can work their work schedules around the kids so they can be home when they were young. “Focus on the Family” has printed some good helps on how to reduce spending so that the family financial needs are less. There are a lot of ways mom can reduce spending by being frugal. Some moms take in other children in a childcare situation. Be sure and check local licensing laws before you begin that business. Some moms are able to get part time jobs at the schools their children attend. Bookstores and women’s magazines often have books and articles that give ideas on businesses that can be run out of the home. One of the things to watch out for in the home-run businesses is that children really don’t get much more of your time and hear a lot of “I’m busy now. Can’t you do that yourself?” Talk to a lot of your friends and see what is working in your area.
