5 Ways to Care for Others

Should Christians participate in Halloween?
Halloween is nearly here, and for some Christians, it's a truly frightful time of year. For others, however, it's seen as a mostly benign secular holiday.
Growing up in a non-Christian household, I always looked forward to Halloween. It wasn't because of the costumes or macabre imagery often associated with it though. I looked forward mostly to...... >Read More

Tithing in Tough Economic Times
Well-known Christian authors/pastors, like Rick Warren and Francis Chan, are known to "reverse tithe". Instead of tithing 10%, they tithe 90% of their income. Teaching Youth about God
I'm blessed to attend a church with a large youth population. On a regular Sunday morning, around 100 teens, aged 13-18, attend Sunday school. I've been teaching the Grade 11's and it's been great to see how God is working in the lives of many of them. Sometimes I worry about what they might be learning.
As a Sunday school... >Read More

Barna survey: Beliefs of Christians revealed
In April 2009, The Barna Group (a Christian group which conducts research on many faith related topics, mainly current Christian beliefs in America) released the results of a survey of nearly 2,000 "self-described Christians." Personally, I found the results disheartening to say the least:
Four out of ten Christians (40%) strongly agreed that Satan...... >Read More
