I think Gregg nailed it.
I really like his reference to how we “desperately want God to tell us who to marry, where to live…”; we were given free will and it’s our decision; and God can use us whatever career we choose. Right on!

We all have talents. Some we use, some we don’t even know about. We can always develop more.

Living….life itself gives us material to do something with. Don’t forget that mistakes are also material for us to build something with. No man can say he has a scarcity of those!

So what do we want to create?

I agree with Gregg. I have went various directions with different careers finding my likes and dislikes, things I once loved and was passionate about I grew to hate. However, keeping God’s plan for putting Him first and loving others as ourselves, He can use any career path you are on or whatever station in your life you are in to work all things together for your good by keeping His way of doing things with your life your # 1 priority:)

I think it’s true that God has a plan for our lives, but it’s a plan for how we are to live our lives, rather than a specific career we are meant to have. Many people, including myself, desperately want God to tell us who to marry, where to live, what career to have. I don’t think these expectations are biblical. I think these expectations frustrate many people because they worry they will miss the mark for God’s perfect plan, but God created us with free will. It’s our decision to make for these life questions. I think God can use us for his purpose with any career we choose.

I identify with your write-up. When i was in school, i knew what i wanted to do, what i’l become..but now, i’m so clueless.
I know God has a plan for me..but how do i know what it is? what do i do with my life?
