A Remarkable Relationship

Written by Jennifer Abegg Grant

We met in high school. Before that, I had heard other people talk about him, and I knew of him, but I never knew him.

When a mutual friend introduced us, I was a bit intimidated. He had it all — charisma, humor, confidence. He was inspirational and intriguing. In his presence I felt like a crumb next to a gourmet meal. My intimidation didn’t last long though.

He quickly included me into his life. We talked all the time. He encouraged me and told me how special I am to him. He expressed concern for all aspects of my life.

I stayed up nights just thinking about how he had already begun to change my life. I also spent some nights talking with him until the night became day. Before long I found myself falling in love with him.

He gave me exotic gifts. They were so incredible that they didn’t even compare to my ex-boyfriend’s flowers. One time, just before my junior year of high school, he took me to Guatemala with him.

We spent lots of time together enjoying each other’s company. The natives who met him immediately fell in love with him too. I kept thinking how delighted I was that my other friend had introduced me to the neatest man ever to walk the earth.

Years passed like the second hand on a clock, and before long I was applying to colleges. We had become inseparable to the point that he came to college with me. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

When we got to college, I met strangers who knew him. Of course we immediately bonded. We became like a family. Sometimes a whole group of us would gather and our conversation would inevitably focus on him. He is the highlight of my life, the star of the morning. He hung the moon.

Unfortunately, some don’t accept him. They often mock me for associating with him. People accuse him of being a fraud or say that I am too dependent on him.

They say that I should think for myself rather than adopt his philosophies as my own. But the truth is, I cannot take this man, Jesus Christ, out of my life. That would be like separating the flour from the yeast in a loaf of bread.

Before my friend introduced me to him, I spent my whole life living for myself. I hoped to please him by bringing cookies to nursing homes and going to church. Those things just didn’t impress him. He wanted me to get to know him, spend time with him and allow him to become the love of my life.

So I did. I accepted his death — a brutal, barbaric death — as a payment for the all the times I have messed up.

See, he knew I would never be perfect, so he took my place. Rather than me spending eternity in hell separated from him, never able to be close to him, he grabbed me by the heart, drew me close into a relationship with him and gave me citizenship in heaven.

If you don’t know my best friend, the lover of our souls, if you want your passport to read that you are a citizen of heaven, I invite you to meet him. His name is Jesus. He will love you despite where you’ve been or what you’ve done. He wants to know you. Come.

“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

Faith is what you believe in your life and that is the way you are in presence of life. I love Jesus; for He is in all of my steps He is. rain or shine He teach us how to become on tough and be brave in all of our steps, even in trials God was there as our guardian angel, our God and our friend too. and in all of His word that you will learn, you will know who you are, and why you are created, you will know Gods purpose by His steps. and the word of God it may help you in your way of living, how this word help you on peace in hearts and minds, how you will communicate to others, what is your goal?
2010 and those reaching in Gods steps all we want, that all people will be in our steps and experience life with Jesus, like soul praying, praise of meditation, singing for salvation as a whole group of family and friends and we may see the love and understanding are there, the unity and cooperation of one another is just like we are all family with God. and for all He is a dear best friend and only passport that we have to enter in heaven is being you are you with God, a natural attitude that we may all have, being simple, and God fearing, with love in heart as we understand others.being in love with God you never tired of what you do, you really like what you do and you really enjoy to steps in Jesus way of life.

for at age of 3 I know Jesus as His name in dreams and at 5 start reading the bible and 7 I understand the word of God for I just knew in thoughts for today that I have spiritual preaching gift and others.I am not other child who want always play like all of my brothers and sisters doing. I much like that time is to read the stories of all prophets for it just like a fairy tales on mine, for I start studying in old testament.and the more wisdom you may get is in proverbs and ecclesiastes because you will learned the do’s and donts from this steps.its so love to walk n Him because you learn lot of things about life, about your Journey and what you have learned on trials you may also share to others that gives them encouragement to steps in Gods life and living with God is forever as long we have breath of life, and you will not change your mind because with God is our most precious moments that we have in this life. a life that we may say guaranteed heaven because with God we have all surely life!

we thanked Jesus always He make us one as one life to all of His steps, make us one beliefs and body to Him, we thanked Him more He save us and spend more time to us teaching the word that give us more light to see His road of life, we thanked Jesus He used His people and learn more about Him,and we become so close to Him every time we pray He gave reminders and advice what we are going to do each day, the most I like, He whisper and give more advice in me.
