When God doesn’t make sense

The headlines in today’s news scream of disaster around the world, the unfair suffering, horrific circumstances, astounding loss of life. We each also know of private tragedy which affects family or friends. Why does such tragedy strike? Where is God in all of this? Take this study and gain insight in the crisis situations of life.

When hearing news of a disaster, we sometimes have feelings of being victims, unloved, condemned, guilty, or angry. These feelings are attacks from Satan. How can you deal with these feelings?

In Romans 8:16 - 38 and Hebrews 11:6, the bible says that God requires we have faith in Him. When disaster strikes, our faith is tested. What do you do when disaster strikes; do you get angry at God? How can you keep your faith strong in the midst of disaster?

Have we done anything for God? If we didn’t exist would God be any different? God doesn’t need us, He can exist perfectly without us. Instead He desires to have a loving relationship with us. Life can’t be perfect, if it was we most likely wouldn't feel any need for our creator who loves us so much. God can use times of trouble to bring us closer to him.
