Earth Day 2010 and You!

Have you taken any steps to reduce your carbon footprint? A “carbon footprint” is “the measure of the amount of carbon dioxide … that goes into the atmosphere as you go about your daily life.” So in terms of your car, it includes not just the amount of CO2 gas emitted, but also the resultant CO2 gas produced for all of the other necessary requirements for your car to run.

Last year we interviewed people to ask them what they have done to help the environment. Here’s what they said:

Connecting Through Technology

Many of us make use of technology everyday to stay in touch with friends, family and the office. In today’s Street Level video, we asked you: How do you keep digitally connected?

It seems that every other person we pass on the street is either texting, talking on the phone, or checking Facebook.

All this activity seems to suggest that we are more connected to each other than ever, but is the technology actually keeping us from having true connections that come from face to face interaction?
