Frequently Asked Questions

What is the mission of theLife?

theLife exists to change the spiritual direction of our nation – one life at a time.  Commit, Share, and Change.

Is there a biblical basis for theLife?

There are many verses that are representative of theLife but Luke 9:23 summarizes it the best.  “ Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

Is theLife an international movement?

At the moment, we are focusing on changing our nation – Canada.  If one day it does become international, that would be a blessing.

Is theLife associated with a denomination?

Not at all.  The only association is following Christ.

What is the history of theLife as an organization?

theLife is not an organization, it is merely a tangible way of committing your life to Christ and keeping you accountable in order to share Christ to the world around you.

How are the individuals in the video connected to theLife?

All of individuals in the video have committed their lives to Christ and have been led or have led others to the commitment as well. They have taken their personal commitment and made it a physical commitment.

theLife is a very broad name. How does this ministry expect to support every potential sphere of my life?

theLife is merely the commitment.  The Faith Adventures are only suggestions of ways to reach your world.  Throughout the Bible we see Jesus ministering to the people he met.  theLife is a commitment to do the same – to really see the people who cross your path and engage with them rather than just letting them pass by.

Does theLife believe enrollment in this club is necessary for salvation?

Absolutely not.  theLife is merely the physical representation of the commitment – a reminder and article of accountability.  Salvation is a personal acceptance of the free gift of Jesus Christ as Lord in your life.

What does a plastic card have to do with Jesus?

The card is a physical reminder that you have committed to live your life for Christ.  It’s like a wedding band on your finger.  You know that you are married, but you have a physical representation and reminder that you carry with you to remind you.

Will the barcode simply reduce me to a statistic in a global campaign?

The spiritual direction of our nation is noticeably on a decline.  In order to change this trend, we are calling over 1 million people to action and help our nation from a downward spiral.  Your barcode is simply your reminder of how much further we need to go and how many lives can be reached. (For example if you are number 2500, it reminds you that we have 997,500 people to reach and many more if you want to reach ALL of Canada).

The pamphlet offers one example for each “any” challenge, but are those the only things theLife has to offer?

If you click on “Take Action” it directs you to several other options.  However, it’s not restricted to those items, they are merely suggestions.

Who gets the money if I buy the resources featured in the pamphlet?

The ministries that have designed and created the resources will receive the money.  However, they are all non-profit so you can insure that your monies are going back into the ministry that you have contributed to.

Why is the first thing I see inside theLife brochure items for sale? Isn’t there more to life than things I should buy?

Not all the items are for sale.  The MentorCenter is completely free and the easiest way to start today.  The other items are at the cost of production.

What is the QR code for?

The QR code is for the audience that likes to share information via QR rather than having to type the URL or dial a phone number themselves.  If you are not familiar with a QR, then please ignore it and do what you feel most comfortable with (ex: typing in thelife.com).
