More From Breakthrough Prayer
Hope, B.C.
On May 26th, a team of three Breakthrough prayer members (Lynda Thiessen, Joanne Bilgin, and Emmie Stanley) and worship leader Jenny Banai went to a women’s Aglow meeting in Hope B.C.
The event started off with Jenny leading the group in awesome worship. Emmie shared about the Breakthrough prayer strategy through stories and examples. The presentation was followed by offering personal prayer ministry to the attendees, which many took advantage of. Lynda, Joanne, and Jenny all ministered in this way.
Emmie had the opportunity to speak personally with many who were moved to take action in prayer for their cities.
Although these meetings are typically attended by residents of Hope, on this occasion there were seven small towns represented including Chilliwack, Aggizze, Sunshine Valley, Penticton, Langley, Harrison, & Hope. Someone from each of six of those towns came to talk to Emmie and to sign up to start prayer for their town. One lady came to her with tears rolling down her cheeks saying that God was speaking to her about overseeing small towns! What a perfect fit!
There were also two ladies who wanted to receive training to start Marketplace prayer ministry for their towns (evangelistic prayer at community events), and two who announced that they would lead the Canada Day Gateway prayer strategy.
Many also indicated that they would be interested in participating in an all day workshop, learning how to pray strategically for their cities, as well as evangelistic skills such as home outreaches, Marketplace prayer ministry, and sharing their personal testimonies.
