Canada Day

Here are a few of the reports from various cities:
1) In Langley we had about sixty five people participate. It was cold and raining but our spirits were not dampened as we boldly proclaimed the word, songs and prayers of faith. Such prayers of unity! At one of our gates we were all waving Canadian flags as we prayed and worshiped. It was amazing how those driving by cheered us on by honking, waving, and giving us the thumbs up. Later that day we set up a tent at the Canada Day fair and offered Prayer to the public. We had such a great response as thirty three people, most of them unbelievers, stopped in to receive words of encouragement and prayer from our team. The best is yet to come. (Langley B.C.)
2) Chilliwack had eight Gateways of Prayer. One group didn’t make it on sight, but had been praying and continued to do so that morning. Some chose to go right downtown at five Corners where all the roads if the city go out from. Next year, better yet! (Chilliwack B.C.)
3) We had a really good time of worship and witness at Aldergrove. A large group came from a local men’s recovery home. It was an important time “within and without.” Some of the fellows from the men’s house have been wonderfully touched and changed by God and bore such a great witness for Jesus in front of the ‘hotel’(where we were praying), where some of these same men had previously (before Jesus) staggered in and out of the adjoined bar! There were forty-two of us altogether. (Aldergrove/Langley B.C.)
4) We had seventeen people out in Hope at the various gates! One gate had people honking at them in support of their singing and holding the Canada flag, generally everyone had a wonderful time! We were standing near the mighty Fraser River at flood level and praying for a flood of the Spirit to invade our town and our land of Canada! We are thanking all the churches that participated and asking them to mark their calendars for next year. (Hope B.C.)
5) Here in Westport we had about 25 who came to pray. We covered five gates, the Harbor, and the Airport. There were also two pastors who joined us. I gave each person a bookmark to keep us all sort of linked in what we were doing (repentance, forgiveness and blessing) and encouraged each one to listen for the Holy Spirit to prompt their prayers. All reported positive outcomes. Also there were about fifteen people on top of Spy Rock (which overlooks the town) doing Praise and Worship, and ending with blowing the Shofar. They said it was “wild,” they sensed God there for sure. Afterward we came together at my church where our pastor and the youth group were preparing us a breakfast. (Westport Ontario)
