Momentum
Wikipedia says Momentum has a direction as well as magnitude. The beginning of a new year is a great time to recalibrate re direction and magnitude.
Direction. The mission of LeaderImpact is to help leaders discover the relevance of faith in God in their professional and personal lives. We desire to help men and women move from success to significance. In everything we offer, we want to be defined by; changed lives, relationships that matter and uncommon opportunities.
Magnitude. By the end of 2012, over 1,000 marketplace leaders were participating in 121 LeaderImpact groups in 4 countries. Thirty Forums were hosted in the 22 cities where LeaderImpact was active.
But the numbers don’t have impact without narrative. One of my favorite stories from 2012 came on a Friday in late November at 7:00 am in Manitoba.
The eight business leaders meeting in the boardroom shared four things; all ride Harley’s, all knew first hand the rush and the loneliness of business, all said “Yes” when invited by the owner of the local motorcycle dealership (Randy Wolgemuth) to a LeaderImpact Forum in their city earlier in the year and finally, all said “Yes” to checking out a LeaderImpact group.
What became obvious; this had become a weekly highlight as they had an opportunity to talk frankly about life, leadership and faith… and that it was making a difference in their lives, businesses and families!
So, where will we go in 2013?
We will continue to stay the course; same mission and vision. We will offer trainings, groups, forums and international projects that will continue to provide individuals, uncommon opportunities to discover.
We project we will expand to have a presence in 35 cities, including Edmonton, Montreal, Vancouver and Bangkok. Do you know people in these cities?
All the best for 2013,
Nathan Hildebrandt
