A Toddler in Traffic…

I could not believe my eyes; a toddler riding a tricycle on a busy street! Pulling my car over as quickly as I could, I guided the little guy off the street to the sidewalk. I did not see an adult anywhere. I asked his name and where he lived, but it was clear he could not tell me. I did not want to leave him alone, so I walked with him until his frantic parents found us and he was safely reunited with his family. I shudder to think what could have happened….

Toddlers are not intended to face the dangers of life alone. As humbling as it may sound we are all like this toddler, not meant to go through life on our own. Relationships are riddled with challenges, difficulties and even dangers, and just as I guided this innocent traveler to safety, God desires to walk beside us through this life. Your relationship with your partner will look a lot different when each of you are allowing God to work in such a way that you are experiencing His unconditional love, forgiveness, joy, patience, kindness and self control.

ACTION:   Have you wandered off on your own spiritually? Are you going through life without God’s presence and resources? Ask Him to walk beside you as you navigate traffic and all of the challenges of living in our fast-paced world.
