“Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3 ).

As a mother of young children and busy author, Donna VanLiere stays busy.  She runs after a two and four-year-old, cooks, cleans, does laundry, and grocery shops.  Sometimes the entire day flies by.  But in spite of the hectic pace, Donna looks for opportunities for prayer.

She prays for her children when she’s picking up their room, folding their clothes, or giving them a bath.  She prays for her husband when she’s washing clothes or dishes, or working in the yard.  Because she looks for them, she finds plenty of opportunities to pray for family, friends, even the President of our country, and others.

Friend, talking with your heavenly Father is an honor and privilege.  Quiet times are great, but God enjoys listening when you’re busy, too!  The Bible says to pray at ALL times.  It’s easier than you think!

Prayer can be said anytime, anywhere. whether its on a crowded bus or just rest our heads to go to sleep. God will always be there to hear our prayers.

  • Annie says:

Lord, we welcome this reminder that we can pray at any time and not only during our daily prayer time. Help us all to seize these moments throughout the day. Annie

I’m a farm sitter, equines mostly, and I have hours in the barn and fields to pray. And then there is the commute between farms. I have no doubt what believing shepherds did with their time!

  • Pearl says:

This was good today, thank you all for sharing opportunities for prayer! I pray for loved ones while working out on the elliptical at the gym … and I memorize scriptures to myself when undergoing dental work or tests at the doctors. Prayer without ceasing… God is Good… God Bless

  • Nadine says:

How grateful I am that my job as an elderly Cargeviver permits me to pray throughout my shift. Lord, I too thank you for permitting quiet times to praise your most Holy name and lift up family and friend’s needs on a daily basis.

I am blessed to have such a wonderful friend who led me to this site. I, too, am a caregiver and find that I have time to pray, as well. I pray for the household that they would be wooed to the Lord. I’ve been there 10 1/2 yrs. and know He has me there for such a purpose as this.

Our opportunities are endless! And what a privilege to come before the throne of grace, before the God of the universe and speak with Him! We can stand in the gap through prayer and leave many things at the feet of the Father. We need to pray without ceasing, at any and all times, but that quiet time – no interuptions time with God is special too – often we can hear Him speak to us more clearly during this time.

I talk to God at any time anywhere but I do it alot while I am doing dishes as I look out my window at the creations made by him it never ceases to amaze me at the details he put into his works.when I am looking out into this vast world suddenly I feel small and need to talk and converse with my heavenly father.

  • Jackie says:

I spend quiet time with God first thing in the morning, but, I work full time so getting a chance to slow down and talk to God during the day is out of the question most days. I frequently talk to Him all day long. If I have to make a phone call I know will be a difficult one (or receive one) I send a quick S.O.S. prayer to my heavenly father who I know is there to help me. It’s amazing how often God intervenes and the call isn’t so difficult after all. Thanks for the reminder about this today … I must confess that I haven’t been talking to God all day long like I used to lately. Hmmm… perhaps that’s why my days have been more stressful than usual. By the way … those quick S.O.S. prayers work when confronted in person too.

And He knows where you are every hour of every day,He knows what you think,He knows each word that you might say,and although there are times you’ve stepped out of His will, you’ve never been out of His care.Carmen i would like to encourage you, just start thanking God for the possitive results you are waiting for, this is where we need to live out our faith and believe that God will come thru for us no matter how difficult our request might seem.I had to apply possitive thinking to my own situation before i saw positive results. In doing so,my walk with God grew deeper.Be encourage,God bless.

  • Ann Davis says:

I too, thank God for the power of prayer and it has been my foundation. I am reminded of the song, “somebody pray for me, had me on their mind, took the time to pray for me. I’m so glad they pray for me. It is such an honor to have the freedom to pray whether it is in the house of the Lord or in our homes and in our everyday life. I am over a woman’s group calle WISH, It means Women Inspiring Spiritual Homes. Tools are given how to intercede and pray in your homes, for your family as well as for yourelf. Praying in the children’s bedrooms, the telephones, washing their clothes and cooking over the food as you prepare. Always praying for your spouse with what he has to deal with on a everyday basis. Going through your home praying, keeping unfamilar and unwelcome spirits out of your home. It is truly a blessing and especially finding the quiet time early in the morning meeting your Jesus, your rock, the lover of my soul, intimately letting him know how I adore and love him. It is truly a blessing. I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t learned how to pray or having someone who prayed for me. Just a suggestion. My children made their own altar in the house (a private area), when things didn’t go well at school or in their life they would come home and kneel before their God and a relationship would be established. I would never question them what they prayed about. What this did was instilled a praying unit with the children and taught them how to pray and that they needed to pray. It also made them accountable of their actions and kepted them humble before the Lord. My children are grown today but they have sucha real respect for the Lord. God bless all of your women all over the world and I pray that the Lord strengthens us for the task he has assigned his women( his girls) to do.
