The Hudson River churned furiously as Marlinda stared at the white water below her. Like the rapid water, Marlinda’s heart swirled with confusion and hopelessness.

WHEN I realized my marriage was falling apart, I took some pills. I know that I didn’t want to die, so I waited until my, now ex, husband was around before I took them. It took me a whole half an hour to convince him that I indeed did take these pills then he drove me to the hospital when I had my stomach pumped and spent 2 weeks on the pshy ward.
I realize now NOTHING BUT NOTHING AND NO ONE IS WORTH THAT MUCH TO ME. MY LIFE IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT TO ME THEN ANY MAN WILL EVER BE.
In1995 when the guy I was living with walked out on me I did get depressed, when I went into my doctor and told him how I was feeling the first thing he asked me was if I felt that I wanted to take my own life and I told him “NO WAY MY LIFE IS TO IMPORTANT TO EVEN THINK OF TAKING IT AND BESIDES I KNOW THERE ARE TO MANY OTHER PEOPLE WHO I KNOW WOULD BE VERY UPSET IF I DID THAT”
I knew and still know GOD has a reason for me to be here on earth and I am not going to let anyone talk me into taking the most valve thing not only to my family but as one of GOD CHILDREN.
because of relationships like I had I have learned that Not only would I hurt myself and my family I would be hurting GOD, who has plans for me

I am so lown away as to how much of the same heartache that we have gone through. You are so correct in saying that God has plans for you. That is exactly how i feel for I have tried to take my life 6 times and I am still here but a much strong of a woman inside.
I too am hoping and praying that I will never get that low again to try to take my own life. Infact, I am on a mission now to continue to get myself strong in the Lord so that I can go out and help to save other souls.

You will never take your life because you have “given” your lives to HIM, now! HE will use your testimonies of Victory to bless others finding their way! You will understand the challenges and be able to help others see through to Victory in HIM!!
