You are Loved

You are precious in His sight. Today… yes, right now!

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you maybe filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:17b-19, NIV).

prayer & reflection

Father in Heaven,
What wonderful understanding Your word gives me. Today I ask that You would give me strength in my inner being. Sometimes I feel so fragile and weak. Those around me may not know or see but You do and You reach out to strengthen me from Your vast store of riches. Help me to remember that today I have the living Christ dwelling within me. Remind me that this is my Source today in all I need to face or do.

Lord God, help me today to grasp how very much You love me. Help me to see in fresh ways how I am grounded by that love and rooted in it as a sure anchor for my life. Help me to believe it! What a heritage we share with other believers… this wonder of Your equipping love in our lives. How we need to remind each other of this strengthening power that we have access to through Your Spirit.

Today when I am tempted to fall into thinking thoughts that drag me down, remind me of this rich love that You pour over and into my life. Remind me, by Your Spirit, that it is wider and longer and higher and deeper than I can ever imagine. Let me feel wrapped and encased in that love today. Help me to grasp this truth when I am tempted to despair over my own limited abilities and resources.

Father, thank you that growing in this understanding of the riches of Your love will fill me up with a fullness and a completeness that can come from nothing else. Set me on a journey today to reply on You in every detail of my life. Let me live in the fullness of Your love today like never before. I ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.

    Thank you for todays message.I know God watches over me as he has for years.i am a widow for the past 20 years,I had 5 children of my own and lost 2 through illness very young adults.I now have three and they are so busy with their own lives, they do not even check on me.I was a good mother and sacrificed for them. I will be 77 next month and try my best to help others less fortunate than I , .
    It really gets lonesome now that the weather is bad. I make greeting cards to keep busy and send to the lonely and sick.What else can I do? In Jesus name I pray for some one who cares. mcg

    Sister Gail, Thank you SO MUCH for this timely reminder. I was actually struggling with feeling this today (not only due to the heavily commercialized ‘v-day’, but also because I am in transition, changing to a new church (a mega church) where fellowship is hard to find.. I am a young adult (I might’ve shared some of the past with you, or with others on this blog). I thank those who prayed for me during a difficult transition (the healing of a broken relationship). I am asking God to continue His divine, deep healing in me, & bless me with the transition of church. Thank you for reminding us, that ‘loneliness’ and ‘fulfillment’ is not as the world defines (having ‘someone’), but rather as a Christian, it is found in God. It is a challenging to remember that sometimes, in this commercialized era. I have been struggling with loneliness, pls lift up a prayer for me to the find the right, godly fellowship I need as a young adult woman.
    Sister Mary, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am a young adult woman, and it was good to be reminded that our parents need encouragement from time to time. I have a complicated relationship with my dad, but I have been praying for God’s healing on my family. May God bless us all today, in His Name! Amen..

    I really needed to hear this today. It is hard to understand how much God really loves us, even me , when sometimes I feel like you do, Mary, so alone and nobody seems to care. Thanks for this message today, that God loves us so much.

    If we’re doubting God’s love at times, the reasons being are infinity. Every day is different from the last. Even mundane has a margin of difference in it whether we see it or not. Doubting God’s love at times tells me I’m still learning to learn. That, like any new relationship, there are days when I have had my doubts; ”am I worthy enough?”, ”does He really ever listen?”; ”my past doesn’t deserve Him”. Thoughts of this nature sometimes brings doubt. Then I sit still, remember when this relationship didn’t even exist(my heart had been hardened for so many years) and that doubt turns into such an overwhelming awe. It’s these ‘in awe’ times that He showered me with His grace and mercy. He has shown me how much He loves me for me and I’ve been able to share the wealth. Amen
