You know what this weekend is …
SUPERBOWL WEEKEND!
Superbowl XLV (45) between the Pittsburgh Steelers & Green Bay Packers is quickly approaching and talk of the big game is everywhere! The teams have been practicing all year, and millions have been spent on those halftime commercials we’ll all be talking about on Monday morning. Football can be an all-consuming passion, but as Mark Washington, one of coaches of the BC Lions’ explains in this week’s featured video there are more important things in life than football. Even if that’s pretty hard to believe on a weekend like this.
Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, explains in his article “Aaron Rodgers: Leader of the Pack” why his personal faith is so important to him. He says that a verse that is special to him is John 10:10: “I have come in order that you might have life—life in all its fullness.” Rodgers summarizes, “The Lord is my Rock. He has always been there, always present at good times and bad; and to me when I feel His presence, my life is full.”
