You hear stories everyday of vehicles colliding and people’s lives being taken. You might even have passed an accident where someone was killed. Life is fragile and it can be taken in a blink of an eye.
Have you ever asked the question “If I died today, where would I go?”

re; where do we go after we die
perhaps we don’t
go anywhere; perhaps we are just snuffed out- as in “non-existent”- Maybe its like being put to sleep for surgery- ie ” the dead know nothing”
Joanne, thank you for your comment. You have raised issues that others wonder about too (and even worry about). In the movie, “The Bucket List”, the character played by Jack Nicholson says, “We all want to go on forever, don’t we? We fear the unknown. Everybody goes to that wall, yet nobody knows what’s on the other side. That’s why we fear death.”
On the secular side, anyone can do an internet search on “evidence for life after death” (finding both scientific and non-scientific articles), so I’ll just talk about the biblical perspective. In the Bible Jesus taught that there were two kinds of afterlife possible for all humanity; one described as very positive, and the other described as horribly negative, and what determines the kind of afterlife we will experience.
I can imagine you asking, “Is the Bible true?” The Bible claims to be inspired by God and people who have believed it and invited God into their life have experienced transformation in their life.
Before considering if the Bible might be inspired by God, you might want to come to a decision on the question of, “Is There a God?” Have you considered the circumstantial evidence that causes people to conclude that the weight of evidence supports a belief in God? Here is a resource that may help you approach this question: http://www.ultimatequestions.org/ May God bless and encourage you on your spiritual journey to the truth Joanne. I appreciate your tentative answer Joanne. You may have written it that way to be polite and non-confrontational but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the opinion that there is nothing after death is really hard to prove. Other than the obvious fact that the person who has died no longer has a body that walks around and interacts with life, there is very little one could do to prove that death is end. You would never have anyone come back from the dead to say there was nothing because then they would continue to exist and thus nullify their claim. There would be no test that could conclusively prove that there was no existence after death because essentially you would be testing for nothing which is really hard to quantify.
It kind of makes you wonder what people base their belief on when they say that death is the end of a person’s existence.
At the same time, as Wes has pointed out, there seems to be quite a bit of evidence of something beyond the grave, the most powerful being the testimony of God saying that He has made us with a soul that exists beyond the grave. I wonder if people’s rejection of life after death has more to do with an unwillingness to accept that there is God who has created all things rather than any credible evidence that death ends existence.
also for heaven after we die is there is a book about aboy going to heaven, i think he comes back and writes about it, there i think is a few stories of someone coming back from the dead, there is one person who went to heaven and hell and lives to tell about it in a story
The book you are talking about Sharon is called Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo. I’m actually just reading it right now and it is a very interesting read!
