The effects of “frankenstorm” Sandy have been riveting this week, as it ravages its way up the east coast of North America. Homes have been washed away in its wake and transportation is at a standstill. Tragically, over 60 lives have already been lost.
I am sure this disruption has also been devastating for the millions of kids who hoped to be out trick-or-treating today. As we playfully dress up as ghosts or soberly remember the lives that have been lost in this storm, the question of after life cannot help but come to mind.
Is there an after life? Do ghosts and goblins really exist or are they just costumes and decorations for Halloween? What about the people whose lives have been claimed by Sandy? What has happened to their souls?
What happens when we die? We recently shared a video series that explores the evidence of after life why it matters. Watch the series and see for yourself.
Why do bad things happen? Why do good people die? Sometimes things go wrong, whether or not it was our fault or within our control. Suffering and heartbreak are universal experiences. At some point in our lives, we will all know what it feels like to be hopeless.
Has life ever pushed you to the limit? It’s in those times when you feel you’ve taken all you can handle that you discover you have the strength to make it through. Watch today’s video.
