I just got re-married and I feel so jealous and insecure

jealousofexI just recently got married, and this is not the first marriage for either one. We have four children between the two of us. I truly love this man and I couldn’t ask for a better man. We go to church together, he is a deacon and youth leader in the church. The problem is that I feel so jealous and insecure. I just know I have to get over this, before I mess up my marriage.

Advice: How fortunate you are that God has given you such a good man!

The place to find your security is in your Lord. Instead of dwelling on your own insecurity and jealousy, start rejoicing in the Lord for the blessing you now have!

A good start would be by reading Philippians 4:4-8:

“Rejoice in the Lord…Be anxious about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests be known to God, and the peace of God that passes all understanding will keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.”

Believe it!

Put off your old self and get a new attitude of mind; put on your new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” Ephesians 4:22, 24 advises. The past is gone; your future looks bright. And you have a wonderful husband and four precious children to serve as wife and mother.

When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He displaces thoughts of ourselves.

We will be praying for you.
